    Cheap New Engine?

Hey guys. My engine is the 1.6L and currently has 125,000 miles on it. Someone offered me the 1.8L with 44, 000 miles on it for $350-400. Is it worth it and do you think I should do it? If not, Im going to use the money to buy a CF hood

you may wanna check if it is OBD1 or 2....i know that a local shop had some trouble swapping an engine from a 96-97 into a 93-95 cuz of a sensor like above the throttle body or something....cant remember...but there is a difference..

It sounds like you'd be better off going with the stock motor since it seems like you don't have the funds to deal with a costly motor swap. Going with a different motor requires more times than not making a custom engine harness and or completely swapping the motor, harness and ecu which all cost more money.

Then there is the fun of trying to get a motor that was not meant to go in your car working properly let alone fitting right.

if funds are an issue you will NOT want to deal with swapping in a different motor.

If funds are not a problem then PM me and I'll let you know what you need to make it as painless as possible.

Assuming you have a '97, what year is the 7AFE from? It's a very direct swap as long as it's from '96 or newer.

If your engine is running fine, I honestly don't think it's worth the swap. You'd be better off buying my NX kit.. ;)
