    OEM! OEM! OEM! OEM!

    :D :D :D :D :D

I have never had to pick up rotors yet...but the pads I think are $60 for both sets.

Oem are you kidding me LOL that's a joke:lol:.. My first New 00 Tundra had brakes replaced every 5 to 6k and that was until I called Toyota Motor sales main office and told them to fix this lemon brake setup they have on there new almost full sized Tundra. Toyota finally fixed it in 2003 when Toyota did a few updates on that truck your lucky Andy your Tundra is a 03 up because they last gen Sucked..

About Brakes I usually go with Ceramic brakes pads for the stop and go driving I do they have a better overall feel to them vs the Pos Factory brakes. I'll be very likely be needing Pads on my current Tundra and changing them out around Sept Before Sano comes in from Canada and the Road trip to Daytona...

I don't know what Erik's blabbing about. My Grand Prix and Firebird couldn't go 6k miles without needing new pads. I ran 38k miles on my stock pads...bought another pair of OEM pads...and have run another 38k. That's awesome to me.

Trav is also a firm believer in OEM pads.

I disagree the aftermarket sector makes better pad's vs Oem and the reason is very clear they have plenty of reseach where Toyota lack's.. I wouldnt use Toyota grade Pos pads on my Tundra your better off with going with bembo brakes and a cross drilled rotors that are treated on the pad's. Reseach has showed that Toyota pad's are just ave compared to aftermarkets that are much more superior on fad resistance etc....

And thats your right to disagree. Majority on this board go with OEM on their rollas, and many have gone back to OEM after having aftermarket pads/rotors

after owning a Rolla I agree the oem pad's are great on that application but on the Tundra thing's take a new direction On the Truck application. Tundra's are very heavy and the brakes do require more service vs a car ..

Go with ceramic pads and stock rotors if money is tight, if money is not a issue go with ceramic pads and slotted rotors.
