automotive classes?

Best thing that i could suggest is to check with a local high school that has those classes and talk to the head of the mechanical or body dept. and ask them they usually have pretty good sources. Also if you call around local body shops ask them if they draft any kids from those schools they will give you info. I know my shop has a program where we get kids from local high school votec classes. also a good link is www.i-car.com they have very good classes, i have to be insurance certified and I have to take 6 a year and they are very helpfull, if you have any more questions PM me or instant message me on AOL

or do what my best friend did. take an apprentiece job at a dealership. i would be doing it right now if i had time. but i just port 4 days a week. its a very easy job. just have to be careful.

I took a car class at a local technical high school and it worked out pretty well. I'm sure they'll have night/weekend classes designed for adults in your area, too.

well i learned mostly through books and work. u can do everything to ur car, u just need the tools and that is the worst part. i know at honda they have 5 or 6 tools that can only do one thing and they cost like 400 to 700 dollars and u only use it once or twice. but when u need it, u have to have it.

I agree. Check with your local Community College. The offer them here at my CC. I'm planning on taking some this coming spring.

get on ebay and buy the factory service manual. for most stuff, some good common sense and the manual will help a lot.

i took an automotive class at my jr college and it kicked ass... i learned a lot of stuff and we worked in the garage doing hands on stuff. i even brought my car in and did inspections and a compression check on it.

15.00 an hour cuz im just starting.
