    35% tint

what does 35% tint look like? here in NC 35% is the darkest you can go... will it be worth getting 35% all around... also i heard that you have to leave your front window untinted or something.. is that right? (i might get a 35% strip on the front or something) ... thanks!

As far as the front strip is concerned...to the AS1 mark is legal.

I couldn't tell ya that. It's different everywhere! It also depends on the darkness of the tint...at least it did at the place I got mine done. You'll just have to ask around. I definitely would NOT pay over $200 though...especially since you want 35%.

Where i live, they charge $120 - $130 for 35% all the way around, including the strip on the windshield.

Eyeborw tint. Depends on state law. Cali allows it too be no longer than 6 inches from the top. :D

Yeah...it just depends on the strictness around your area. Like I said...it's not illegal to get a front strip. Legally though....it can only go to the AS1 mark. Which, on our cars, is not much at all. Most cops won't say anything about front strips...unless the whole thing is tinted..or it's covering up more than half...to where they can't see in from the front.

Mine is below the mark! 8)

mines is 35% side and rear (altho u can't really tell from the b&w pic in my sig). of course, all 35% tint should have the same light transmittance, but how dark it "appears" will vary somewhat based on your interior and the type of tint (i.e. metallic, black, hybrid, etc.). it even seems to vary between brands cause when i went to go get mines done the guy showed me 35% black solar somebrand next to 35% black 3M and the 3M appeared to be darker. maybe not the most scientific answer, but just my .03 8)
