    Wheel Hop

    Is the Corolla particularly prone to wheel hop? Maybe my strut bar makes it worse, which would explain why the XRS will have a dampened Yamaha strut bar?
    It causes a loud and hard metal to metal banging when spinning on an icy bump or on wet pavement. There is no bobble strut (engine shock absorber) like my Neon had... Is there an engine brace or damper available?

    I know exactly what you mean. It happens to me too, sometimes while im listning to a cd, it even makes the music skip.

    Yeah, it's quite disconcerting. I've checked all mounts and torqued all suspension and chassis bolts too. All seems fine...
