    Vent in the hood?

Well im planning to put a custom vents on my hood where the short ram intake is, or somewhere close to it, it might just be in the middle where the engine is but will i have to worry about being hydro locked in the winter days or rainy days, i live in Canada

The only way the engine will hydrolock is if the entire filter is submerged in water. So unless you drive through a lake, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about

My favorite attempt at any sort venting through the hood was Toyrolla's mustang hood scoop on an 01-02 hood.

    His entire car looked awesome.

The vent will hardly net you any more power, not to mention might not look right if you screw up or if not proportional. If you want more power, it's better to just get a CAI.

For the record, if you go that route, make sure you have all your measurements right before chopping up your stock hood.

scoops are best used in conjunction with top mount intercoolers, and even then they are highly inefficient at high speeds and creates a lot of drag. What you want is something called a NACA duct, these are designed to maximize air intake and minimize drag coefficient. They look similar to the ones on the hood of the R35 GT-R
