    Tein springs?

So, whats better, H-Tech, or S-Tech springs from Tein? I'm thinking the H-Tech so that it doesn't drop to much of so I still have a little clearance...

which ones are you asking about? the s tech's, a lot of people have em, just go to the "show us your ride" section, then find a thread by phozenstone, and look at his car, he has s techs..i dont think anyone has h techs yet

according to the description on racingsolution.com the H-Techs: "1.3 in drop in front, 0.8 in drop in rear" and S-Techs: "1.9 in drop in front, 1.4 in drop in rear." I don't think I want to go that low though (Cali and AZ aren't the greatest on some speedbumps and stuff... not to mention when this car ventures back to Michigan!). Also, since I've never lowered a car before, am I correct in assuming that I'd need different shocks and struts, or do they remain the same length?

dont trip...everyone bitches about how the s.techs are too low...but they are not unless u have a body kit. You'll be fine wit the s.techs no one will notice your car is lowered wit h.techs...those springs are for ppl wit bodykits n big rims. Just dont go up something steep straight up...go at an angle. Also roll or rear fenders so u dont rub. Just some small precautions b4 u lower your ride. If you dont wanna take these precautions then dont drop your car. Also your stock struts will be fine. My rolla was on stock shocks w/ teins. Tein makes great springs wit matchin spring rates for your car. You car's ride will barely change from stock.

well I'm going with a body kit but the front & rear are conne be more similar to lip kits or something, I dislike those HUGE UGLY bumpers that are more showlike... Thanks for the tips and advice, so S-Techs with 17"s is fine?

The shocks will haveta be changed, they're taking killing with my 300+lbs of military gear in there... I'm starting to get the bouncy effect... But its getting stored in 15 days, next March/April...

yea i had 17x7.5 rims on s.tech w/ rolled fenders. I only rubbed wen i had the clan in the car. The main reason i rubbed tho was cuz i had stock struts. Go wit s.techs. Wen i had stechs i didnt think it was low enough...i woulda been pissed if i used the htechs.

The S Techs are great. Just get some struts to go with them.

Yeah, I just found that out last week. They are being replaced with Type SS dampers, which have not been released yet. So, I'm keepin my eye open for those when they hit the market.

as an FYI...they're not shocks for the corollas...they're struts.

and go with the Tokicos...those are nice and stiff.
