how much do one of these run for new? i found them on autotrader with like 1000 miles for 18k.

Im pretty sure that a new one will run you under 20 grand. I heard someone say it was the fastest car under 20 grand.

yes thats true.....fastest car under 20Gs, but what sucks is that they realy had to cut cornners to make it uner 20.....like only driver window is electric maybe front passanger too, little stuff like that had to be sacraficed

Have you ever driven a SRT-4? Fast, yes. Refined, no. If you're looking for the fastest car for around $20k (new), the SRT-4 is a fine choice. I'm assuming that you bought the Corolla under the pretense that it gets great fuel economy. That was my qualifying factor, next to price.

I can see why ,but then I start thinking about how long would it last? I'm sure are car can go 15000-20000 miles eazy. I dont have to much confidence in american cars anymore

No american car is reliable period. Unless you are talking about a corvette or viper wihch are better made. Other than that they all suck.

yeah my chevy s-10's engine took a crap at 90,000 miles so i got the corola

the car has been breaking drive shafts

blah, i'll take an SRT-4 in my rolla anyday... i may not win, but at least i'll look better losing.

And Daimler-Chrysler, makers or the SRT-4 is part German... and they've also got some partnering going on with Mitsubish from Japan, especially on the next generation SRT-4.


There's no such thing as foreign or domestic car makes anymore.

except toyota and honda...who cares where they're built least they're not owned by some american carmaker

you sure?? cuz i remember my old neon (95 model) was made in Maxico..

my 94 tbird has at least 180,000 miles on it, which is pretty good if you ask me. it has a lot of problems, but it never has been taken care of the way it should ahve been. if you ask me, if you keep up with oil change/regular tune-ups on most cars, they'll last you at least long enough until you're ready for a new one
