I agree that the number is kinda low since most civic springs are like 250-300+.
    But I have S-tech on my 01 and I don't think it's soft actually.

    Spring Rates?

Does anyone happen to know the spring rates for any brands of springs other then Tein? For S Techs Tein lists them at 180F/140R, but that seems kind of low for an almost 2 inch drop. Unfortunently I cant track down the technical specs for any other brands of springs.

Here's the Tein sites sheet: http://tein.com/ti/l02.html

Interesting... The springs tie into a theory I have about the problems with Teins on Tokico struts.

Most of what you feel in everyday driving is the damper, the springs really only affect large movements like cornering and braking, basically anything with large weight transfers, so if you have stiffer struts, the springs wont seem terribly soft. Tokico Struts, while they may be stiffer, have 'signifcantly' less travel then stock struts, which is where the problem comes in with linear spring rates; there simply isnt enough room for the springs to control the chassis the way they are designed. Better bumpstops could probably fix this problem, but not the way most people think they do ( goto H&Rs website and lookup bumpstops in their technical section ).

I've been thinking about the ideal suspension a lot lately.

(( I really need to stop writing so much ))
