    that was someone driving up the bid with a zero account... i'd bet with 100% certainty it was the guy who owned the car who didnt like what the price was at and didnt want to sell it for dirt nothing.

    There's no way that's legit. Even at the Barrett Jackson Auction (which should burn in hell) extremely rare Ferraris hardly ever go for that much, much less a Pontiac.
