I started a Registered Student Organization on my campus, pretty much like a club that is sponsored by the university. I wanted to set up car shows and autocrosses on campus. And ...... It worked. They allowed me to set up an autocross and so far 200 people joined my club. Just so damn excited :rule:

no insurance needed. UMASS and the club waives all liability, and we call it a driver education event, so basic car insurance covers it. We have a skydiving club, a hot air balooning club, a scuba diving club and an official scuba diving class that you can take for credit and our school allows all those.

Lucky b*stard. I started up a car club at my school last year and we only have like 50 members (our school still has under 10000 students though). We are trying to set up a car show/concert for Feb. when the school would be recruiting and they are hesitant about sending a senetor out to even hear our plan out. Lame.

UMASS is the University of Massachusetts(Amherst campus) and we have 35,000 undergrad and graduate students. Look us up on the party school list lol. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we hit 300 members this semester.

Man I gotta ask how you do it? We've tried everything to get attendence up. I think part of our problem is the 2 presidents we've had in the past year haven't done anything to advance the club. We are getting that taken care of now, but I think a lot of damage was done.
