its a sleeper but that thing looks like it will break down pretty quick, he shoulda chose a more reliable car to throw all that work into.

i dunno, i guess its just not my style, to each his own...i rather drive a slow but nice car so i can pick up the ladies and cruise on weekends rather than drive a turbo'ed car worth $1500. And also if thats a daily driver, the car will be striving to live soon, let alone running at 10+psi's. But i guess since he's selling it in the summer then that doesnt matter...he should have fun wit it as long as he still has it, wut car is he getting next?

Not dawging on you, but everyone needs to be presentable, no matter what they drive. If it's a shit car, at least keep it clean. That'll say more about you than money ever will.

well i dont mean to bash on the car, it just that i see sleepers and they are still real nice lookin, clean and shiny paint, nice wheels, etc....but that car is just none of that other than the engine....

I'm guessing he put in the 1.8 BPT? If that is the case, the *reliability* questions that people brought up are pointless, that engine was built for boost, can handle alot on stock internals, friend of mine is looking for one for his MX-3 right now actually...

That's not what was implied earlier in the thread. I'm saying that the kind of car you drive shouldn't have an impact on how you get girls. My car is like my 2nd home since I'm in college and live off campus. It's a necessity for my stuff to be in there, so cleanliness has nothing to do with it, actually. If you feel that you can't pick up women without a nice car, you are sorely mistaken and have obviously been missing out for a long time.

Obviously, some peope have a distorted view of what a sleeper is. A sleeper is not a show car. A sleeper is not meant to have nice paint and nice shiny rims. If a sleeper had all of these things, it would no longer be considered a sleeper, because it would attract attention. A sleeper is a any car that misleads others about its performance intentions.

If you want something shiny with nice wheels, go buy an Escalade and call it a day.
