I'm new to this board, I noticed you guys know your stuff and been able to help out others.. I want to keep my stock Hu of my 2005 corolla xrs which has a 6 disk in dash cd changer. Ques. #1 Is there a factory amp in the car. Ques.#2 If I use a line in converter and splice the wires to the 6*9's on the rear deck to gain a pair of rca input to lead to my amp, can I solder a wire to run back to the 6*9's without having to amplify the signal to the 6*9"s so I could dedicate the channels of my amp to power my subs. Ques.#3 I have a rockford fosgate amp but I have seem to have misplaced my hign imput wireharness are those wireharnesses universal?

the amp is in the factory head unit.

get an amp that has high level (speaker level) inputs and dont worry about the conversion. use the speaker level inputs to your rear deck as you suggested.

edit: never mind, i missed you already had an amp.. get another harness, probably universal within the line the model is from.

dont try and power a sub with the feeds for the 6x9's, its a full range signal. youl need to cross over lower for the sub. most amps have a low pass so you wont need an external crossover if you use the high level inputs.
