im planning to purchase a reciever. im looking at a pioneer and alpine. i forgot the model #s but which one is better as far as sound quality, power and options. i myself , am a pioneer person and a audiophile. but someone suggested alpine, i havent tried alpines yet. i like good quality sound. im also going to hook up a mb quart component system, sony and mtx amps and 2 solobaric 10" subs.

Go Alpine dude, i had a pioneer on my old car & just wanted something else continuously. Pioneer overprices they're gear for the worst reasons(looks, visual dipslays, etc.). I now have an Alpine cda-7993 or sumthin like that in my 2003 corolla. Much much better sound, better RMS at like 30watts and peaking at 60watts (stock, no amp!!). I have (2) 6.5 rockfords & (2) 6x9 rockfords in it.......crystal clear, loud as hell, & no thoughts of getting another head unit. 4Real..... go w/ Alpine, u'll thank me for it later. Peace

Depends on what you are looking for. I think the alpine's sound a bit better but their looks aren't top notch. Pioneer sounds good and has some nice looking models. I ended up getting a Pioneer DEH-p6400 for sale at Circuit City and it beats the hell out of stock. Just really depends on what you are going for.

I have JVC El Kameleon LX111 nice hu...........but pioneer premior hu line is by far one of tha best especially tha Pioneer Premier DEH-940

Panasonic

Hey, just got a Panasonic CD-Q583U from Circuit City, for like 190. I've had Pioneer, and Sony, and Panasonic before, and my favorite is Panasonic. Works best with my computer system, and love the sound. Seems like a great deck, just in case anyones interested. Plus, the display is AWESOME, can see it even under direct sunlight here in AZ. Just in case anyones interested.

I just got the best damn deal no one can beat!!! The Good Guys warehouse was having a huge sale. It was directly inside of their warehouse!! I bought me a Kenwood kdc-mp8017 for $99. It was an open item, but I bought a warranty with it for $38 extra. with the warranty, the guy told me if I want, I can take it back to a Good Guys store and get the same one or a similar Head Unit no questions asked. MP3 BAYBEE!! I love it. I sold my Pioneer deh-p7300 for more than I paid for the mp3! :twisted:

What's the best budget cd/mp3 player? I spotted Panasonic CQ-DP383U because of its low cost ($150) and overall good reputaion of Panasonic product. I am also considering Sony MP-30 as well.

Please give me some advice.
