The words used to describe them. A catback exhaust is a performance exhaust (refering to the exhaust setup behind the catalytic converter). Of course the performance is determined by the diameter of the pipes, wether it is crush or mandrel bent, the muffler type and so on.

A full exhaust setup could also include a header and a high flow cat as well. You basically have to find out what the "performance" exhaust is including with it.
