    i am looking to get a new alterntor or get my redone. can anyone recommend a place where i can pick one up at?

    I have thought about getting a used starter and keeping in case mine starts to act up (with the starters you get some advance warning at least) There is a repair shop close to our town and alternators and starters are all they repair.

    Have you looked at car-part.com

    You would at the least be getting an OEM unit (probably) because I HATE the cheap re-man stuff it never does last.
