Thanks! Actually my next two mods are tint and a baby car seat. lol.

I love the Borla exhaust the best but it seems hard to find, maybe it's discontinued. :( I'll check out the Vibrant.

i think the TRD bolt-on is made by borla.
the vibrant performance axle-back bolt-on is probably cheaper than borla or trd. i have the vibrant on my old car, sounds really nice and not like a fart can.
people are always surprised to a corolla when i rev the car. :D
i think the vibrant is around C$320 or so.

car seat is a nice mod. it's the reason i got rid of my corolla, needed more space. :D

Yah, I might have to keep the exhaust stock though unfortunately, if I get an exhaust I'd have to spend extra to attenuate the heck out of it. Might just at least get a short ram intake and header and short shifter.

I got Megan Racing springs and installed them last year with the help of friends from Toyota Syndicate NW. 2" drop, performs great, rides a bit harsh, but they were like $125 CAD shipped (to Seattle). These will do for now until I'm ready to get coilovers. =) Then I can go a bit lower in the summer and as high as I can for the winter.

Check the VIN number maybe. Wikipedia says only wagons and some 1993 sedans were produced in Japan.

For $5000 (well $3500 USD... so more like $4400?) I'd rather get this:

    http://www.9thgencorolla.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1413944

7th gen wagon with 4AGE 20V Silvertop swap, super clean in and out. Wonder how easy it'd be to import it to Canada though. Just that it doesn't have A/C. Boo. But it has crank windows... which is actually good for me because my stupid dog knows how to open the power windows. >_< lol.

Yah, especially on highways, I like to keep it calm and quiet in the passenger cabin. Actually my next car MUST have automatic climate control, I'm tired of fumbling with HVAC controls. lol. My brother has it on his 09 Corolla LE, it's awesome.

I was looking at a few 8.5th gens last year before I decided on a 9th gen when I had my 6th gen Corolla, I really didn't think it was much of an upgrade to be honest.

(Not to go against the 8.5 gens, it has the 1ZZ VVT-i engines which is great, and looks good, but as a modder i'd rather keep the 7th gen, it just has so much more potential to look NICE you know?)

Oh, you went and got me all excited there for a minute! Fair enough, all I really want is the clear turn signals, so if you do decide to sell your stuff let me know! Thanks.

what they really need is a car to replace the tc.

they should bring something like a daihatsu copen over, but bigger with more power.

The Ford Fiesta which is also coming and Mazda 2 are siblings anyway right?

My wife and I have been seriously considerring the Mazda 5 GT with 5 speed manual. It's super fun to drive, super versatile, roomy, seats 6, we really like it.

ya i read some article saying the fiesta and mazda2 are identical.
i like the mazda5, but the 3rd row seat is really tight and for kids only. so you basically get only 4 seats, unless you passengers are kids or petite - then you have space for 6. :D

i'm actually looking at the mazda5 as my replacement for my sienna in a few years. will see how it goes. :)

I'm 6'-1", I got into the third row of the Mazda 5 and it was no more cramped than the third row of a Ford Explorer we rented with 5 other coworkers on business in Edmonton. It's bearable for short periods, and there's that middle aisle between the two second row seats in the 5 to stretch out one leg through. My wife's 5'-1" and she fit in the back seat a bit better.

Here's a pic of 5 adults (2 of them in the back) and 1 kid.

Toyota RAV4 now available in two-wheel drive

Toronto, Ontario - Toyota has announced that the 2009 RAV4 compact SUV is now available in two-wheel drive, as well as four-wheel drive.

Previously available in the U.S. in both configurations, but only in four-wheel drive in Canada, the RAV4 will now also come in front-wheel drive, with both four-cylinder and V6 engines, and with a limited-slip differential. The RAV4 will be available in five two-wheel drive models and six four-wheel drive models.

“The Toyota RAV4 is the perfect blend of power, efficiency, versatility and fun,” said Warren Orton, director of Toyota Canada. “The addition of two-wheel drive models for the 2009 model year provides a great incentive for those who do not need four-wheel drive capability. It builds on Toyota’s ‘more power-less fuel-no compromise’ approach to anticipating the needs and desires of Canadians, and another way we make things better for Canadians seeking the best of the car and truck worlds, combined in a smartly styled package.”

The RAV4 is available with a new, 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces up to 179 horsepower, mated to a four-speed automatic, or with a 269-horsepower, 3.5-litre V6 with five-speed automatic. Standard features on all models include power locks and windows, heated mirrors, cruise control, MP3 capability, Optitron gauges, keyless entry, air conditioning, six airbags, and a new fuel economy meter.

Pricing for the new two-wheel drive models starts at $24,295 for the four-cylinder, and $30,190 for the V6. Four-wheel drive models start at $26,555 with the four-cylinder, and $29,170 for V6 models.
