    A question for anyone that has this head unit. Is there any way of stopping the screen from alternating between the 2 colors? It's driving me nuts at night.

    Check the manual...

    I believe you have to turn the unit off and then hold the function key untill a menu pops up and there is an option in there to disable the Demo Mode...

    It is either button 5 or button 6 can't remember. Not the function button but the radio preset buttons along the botttom. Number 5 or 6.
