    HELP! 2003 Yamaha R1!?

    ok, anyone out there own or have access to a 2003 Yamaha R1? I NEED to know where the gear indicator is supposed to be and what it looks like! My buddy @ work just bought one, and he asked me where it was, and I cannot remember where!

    go down to a yamaha dealer, and look at one. or go to www.yamaha-motor.com and look at the images under supersport.

    No luck on the site, it only has the '04 and its got an updated display. And the dealer had only one '03 left :(

    to tell you what gear you're in? shit, my 500r doesn't even have one haha, it broke and i never got it replaced, but oh wells, i wouldn't even use it, i memorize what gear i'm in..no time to look down and then shift down, i'd be dead by then =P

    yeah, well its not my bike, i can kinda ride by feel, but he's new to bikes... I know that bike had one at one time, i can't remember where though
