    DIY M3 LED mirrors

Could someone do a detailed diy for installing m3 led mirrors. I bought mine from 4caroption for 50 bucks and to get them installed all the local shops and dealerships want $250. No offence to Logan, all props to you, but when i look at those pictures in the diy section, i dont know what im seeing. Or if someone knows where i could find another diy online that would be cool too.
    Thanks for any help.

that is just how i wired up the leds for the mirrors putting the mirrors on themselves isn't that difficult just take the old one off and put the new ones on just be sure to swap the gasket over to the new mirror. did you get power mirrors?

Also, i have three six wires total, i know that three of them are for the power adjust, but the other three (white, blue and black), are not labeled. They are spoced to have both a blue and yellowed led. I dont know how to test which wire goes to only the yellow light since i dont want the blue.

ok this may get kind of long long......

    1. Remove the inside door panel and the little plastic piece up by the A pillar. go here if you can't figure it out. Get a 10 mm socket wrench and take the three bolts out behind the mirror, also disconnect the power cable from it.

    3. Wiggle the mirror around a bit until it comes off.

    4. Next you will notice a rubber gasket on the back of the stock mirror, pull that off and place it on the back of the new m3 mirror, it has to be trimmed up a bit so just use some scissors.

    5. Attach the M3 mirror to the car with the supplied screws or bolts ( i ended up having to go and get my own because the ones the came with it were to big)

    6. As for wireing up the power for the mirrors you should of got a connecting piece with three wires coming out of it attach that to the other set of three wires that are comming from the mirror. For the drivers side, black goes to green, white goes to blue, and red goes to redish brown. For the passenger side, black goes to red with white stripe, white goes to red, and red goes to redish brown.

    7. Once you have the power hooked up your now ready to hook up the LEDs. This is the fun part. You need to either find a place inside of car to do it or your going to have to run it up along the inside of the fender up to the turn signal bulb. On the drivers side you want to tap in the green w/ black stripe and the white w/ black stripe. On the passenger side you'll want to tap into the green w/ yellow stripe and the white /w black stripe.

    8. Once you have the wires attached to the bulbs attach them to the mirrors, the white w/ black goes to the black, and the green w/ black and green w/ yellow go to the red.

Hope this helps you out a little bit, i only posted a DIY for how to wire the LEDs up because that is where C-Rolla had the problem. if you have any other question just ask.

no problem man it took me a while before i actually went ahead and tried it but it isn't really that hard to do. the hardest part i would say would have to be running the wires up through the fender everything else is easy. i know a lot of people are holding off on the mirrors too because they want to see how to do it and how difficult it is to do.
