TOMS Bumper on and customized! FINALLY!

Well as some of you know about three months ago, I put on my TOMS bumper, it fit perfect, but it was too low. I couldn't fit more than two fingers under it. Well, I was determined the thing on. Me and my friend Bill spent hours upon hours cutting, filling, fiberglassing to make the bumper fit and custom. The trademark "TOMS" side holes have been shaved, the license plate holder shaved, the bottom was cut and raised and inch and a half, then we had to completely reconstruct the bottom, the outer holes were also opened more. I can now fit my fist underneath and it seems to have enough clearance. I think these mods to the bumper made the bumper look a whole lot better and cleaner. Anyways, heres some pics until I can do a formal photo shoot. :wiggle: Let me know what you think!

    Looks excellent....two questions..
-When do you plan on painting it, along with the rest of the kit??
-Do you plan on putting some foglights in those spaces??

Oh yea, my only concern is that the lower portion at the center of the bumper looks really thin and fragile as if it might just crack at the slightest bump of anything you come across on the road.....

The center may look a tad thin, but its not, its strong enough to withstand enough...hopefully. The spaced wont be filled with foglights, the fogs that are supposed to go in there are to hard to locate and when I did, they were outrageously expensive. It should be getting painted sometime by Feb., Im waiting for my tax return.

Exactly, didnt flow with anything on the car, so I got rid of it. Looks much cleaner without them.

I like it. This is how it should have looked stock. All of the lips and bumpers that have come out for our gen have been too ricey, IMO.

Thanks, the car is done. All I have left on the exterior is paint and maybe switch up the rims again. The interior has a little bit more to do, steering wheel is next on my list. Other than that, all thats really left is engine work, but Im not sure what I want to do with that.

looks pretty good but if you wanted to go that short and without the holes you should have purchased the sport bumper from the corolla X wagon . that bumper is nearly identical to the one you just customized the X wagon 94-97 models have that bumper. now you know but for how you did it it came out damn good.
