i don't know if they fit i can't even remember if it does simply because Toyota switched over to a solid rear axle on the newer corollas as far as 93-02 they should fit with no problems, with minor adjustments.

i never had any major problems with the front. just for the fact that is hit just about everything in sight if you have you r car lowered all the way down like do. other than that hotchkis is pretty good, progress is good as well.

yea hotcakes make bullsh*t sway bars.

and no, 03+ wouldn't fir 93-02, the suspension setup and geometry are completely different. You can get rear sway bars from Addco, Intrax, Whiteline, TRD Japan, and TLS steel.

i wouldn't call them BS they work very good but are larger than thier competition counterparts. yep the 93-02 are independent suspension and the 03 and up are soild rear axle which i think sucks but oh well.

i know that 03 is different from the 8th gen but i was asking because on that link i posted on this thread starter post, it said those sways would fit an 02-03 corolla......

i thought it was always like 93-02 so thats why i asked if it fits an 02, why not an 01, right?

Hotchkis also makes front and rear swaybars for the 98-02 corollas.

From my experience with them, I had 3 snap in half (2 on a wrx, 1 on a 03 corolla).. one in the middle of a racing event.. I hate their crap. I currently run a Whiteline 20mm 3 way adjustable rear sway bar, they have 4 diffferent part no. for corolla rear sway bar application they all have a solid bar construction so theres no chance of them snapping.

The 03+ has whats called a torsion beam rear suspension, they were origionally designed for minivans to maximize cargo space and keep a flat rear floor. 93-02 has a 4 wheel macpherson setup.

The rear sway bars from JDM AE101/111 will work for USDM 7th and 8th gens. The only thing is the front sway bar may not work on the 8th gen.. all ae101/111 has a engine with a front exit exhaust header system (like the 7th gen) so the bar has a hump that bend around the exhaust pipe. Somehow with the 1zz equipped with a rear exit exhaust header system they were able to have the swaybar flat all across. i'm not sure how, never been under one.

Speaking of front sway bars, IMO they are unnecessary on FWD cars. firstly the OEM front sway bar has a OEM diameter of 22mm and rear is a 14mm toothpick. upping to a rear 19mm still keep a larger diameter up front.. and having a large front sway bar only increases understeer. I only upgraded the bushings to polyurethane units and will soon get some aftermarket endlinks.

Yea the listing from modacar is a error on their part, i'll tell albert about it.

yeah only the front since i have the inner reinforcements on the rear seat. bumpy? not really if anything the turns are a bit more predictable.

like i said i never encountered any major problems with it and with all four tires sitting inward by minor degrees it steers extremely well and angled springs which i am still afraid they are going to break.

pick up some superpro poly bushings for your front sway bar while you're at it.

And how'd you manage to bend a sway bar?

yea, as long as you select your year it'll give the correct one, they have to be imported from australia but your patience will pay off.. 7th and 8th gen use the same one.

^ did you install yourself? i wanna know how hard it was.

also, how is the ride compared to hotchski? i hear whitelines are softer ride than hotschki..

and what setting do you have it set for? soft medium or hard? for street and track.

I did install it myself. It was pretty simple. The difficult part is the fuel tank straps, filler hose and EVAP hose are in the way. You'd need to support the tank unbolt the straps and pry away the hoses to wiggle the old bar out and new bar in.

Sway bars dont affect ride quality. I have it in the middle setting.

type in the parts no. in search.

The rear sway bar reduced a lot of understeer.. I used high spring rates to controll roll.

Also you could get a quote from raptorracing over on toyotanation. His pricing seems pretty good.

That Whiteline sway bar looks very beefy compared to the stock one....

Will I be able to notice a difference if I am still on stock suspension?

less body roll, and reduced understeer. But it's best to upgrade the springs and struts beforehand.

if i upgrade to 20mm rear sway bars, do i have to get a new metal bracket, like the one shown in your picture with the snapped hotcakes?

the bushings on that pic can fit 8th gens right? and have you found some endlinks yet?
