    2001 conversion

im thinkin about ripping off my body kit putting the stock front bumper on my 2000 corolla, but if i end up getting the lip kit i think it looks cleaner on the 01-02 style. does anyone know exactly what it is that i have to do? im assuming its not just a bolt on job because of the different headlights. if anyone has any info please let me know. thanks.

The DIY on Vamp's page (done by someone else) mentions the use of a spacer when bolting up the headlamps. This is not necessary. The thing is also a little vague as to what you need, so here's a list:

    1) 2001-2002 headlamps (whatever model you'd like as they come in plain stock clear or black housing) (you can usually get these from eBay)
    2) You will also need the wires to tap into your existing wiring, here's an example:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9005...013QQitemZ230051749852QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
    3) 2001-2002 front bumper.

If you already have a kit on the car, using the 01/02 bumper that matches the kit is recommended, however if you really dig the lip, certifit carries the 01/02 stock bumper for about $40 bucks. You should have one local to you, if not i'm sure we can find one close. The other things you'll need for the bumper to complete it up (trim, etc) can be purchased from 1sttoyotaparts.com for a lot cheaper than your local dealer can get them for.

If you've got any questions, feel free to ask, I've done this conversion myself.

hehe why do you think i did it? the 98-00 front end just lacks so much in comparison to the 01-02. that and the single bulb headlamp was a friggin joke. you blew a low beam and you're out 20-30 bucks. at least with the 01-02 you blow a low beam lamp or a high beam lamp you have to replace a $5-13 item. with DRL's running all the time and blowing out low beams, this was a no brainer. style and functionality... :)

    lol not at all

pm me info - this can stay in this thread since it technically refers to the primary topic at hand, but keep the selling stuff about this in pms now. jt's already posted up he can get them or has them, no need to litter the thread with more talk about em.
