    New Project in Mind!

So I just got a second job at Compusa the other week, and one of the guys I was working with was like "The Mac Mini's are small enough to fit in a car" So I go home that night and look up so websites and to my suprise people are doing it. So in the next few months I will be putting a Mac Mini with a 7" In-dash Touch Screen monitor in. I will figure out a way to hide all the wires. I will definatly get pictures to. :) Just thought I would share lol.

I know a guy that has a pc setup in his car. He has internet on it when he pulls into his driveway. The software he uses syncs his car with this computer in the house and it updates his music collection everytime he pulls onto his driveway. All you need is a wireless internet card and a nearby connection.

If your willing to pay that much per month. I personally think that its a waste. Your not gonna be browsing while driving unless you get stuck in major traffic everyday. Then it can come in handy from time to time.

The question about what I do at compusa is I am a Sales Rep/Merchendiser. The Macmini has a built in wireless card and bluetooth. I could actually use my car as my cell phone also. I will prolly fit the mini in the glove box or something, and they make a Powersupply for the macmini to put in cars. Pretty handy if you ask me.

    guess what.

the Mac Mini was designed with the potential of use in vehicles in mind.

    just some food for thought.

OK so whats your point. I was just telling everyone what I was going to do. I didn't need to have a smart ass answer, if it wasn't meant to be a smart ass answer I'm sorry. I know they were designed with vehicles.

Sorry, but by the way its looking, I might not have everything I need before fall. I want to relocate the battery; install my amp; fiberglass a custom subwoofer enclosure. Hopefully I can get all that done soon.

Thanks for the website, I have actually been there. Right now the Mac mini is hooked up to my 65 TV and it looks great. It puts out a 1080p signal. I also found this website. http://www.carnetix.com/ for the PSU.

sounds like the install of Office was corrupt. i fail to see how that has anything to do with installing a Mac Mini in a vehicle, however.
