    Suspension Dilemma

I've been debating on what I want to do to my Corolla's suspension for a while. I hate the stock suspension with a passion. Plus, my rear shocks are going out (the bounce test yields about 4 bounces off of one push!).
I've narrowed my choices down to 2 options:

    A) Bilstein schocks and Tein S-Tech springs (comes out to around $500 total)

    or

    B) Ksport Kontrol coilovers ($800 shipped)

Which one would be better in the long run? I like the adjustability of the Ksports, but with the extra $300 I'd save with option A, I could afford Hotchkis sways as well.
I'm a rather spirited driver, plus I'd like to take my car to the track for some autox's every now and then. Mostly just street driving, tho. Spirited street driving.
    Give me some opinions.

The KSports look like the real deal, but it seems like not too many people have them to get an informed opinion. Hopefully with time more people will buy them and they'll turn out to be a good product. I sure wouldn't mind getting a setup like that.

bump might as well. Seeing as my focus is shifted towards suspension now, Im thinking D2/Ksport but after doing some research there is a 50/50 split. Half recommend and half dont. Are they worth it? I see them on ebay around $850-$900. Im asumming I can adjust it from 0" drop to anything high correct? I dont want a big drop at all. Id probably bottom out everywhere here. I could go with ground control but I read something about spring rates and that it will blow out struts easily. Suggestions please.

well go for the first option with the blistiens or (screw the spelling) , right now i have the Tein S-Tech front and rear w/ Koni (someting red) cost me around 850 total. Plus add the yaw steering control from a porsche 911 and it comes out to 1000 for everything.

I also forgot to mention that I always have 2-3 people in the back and so the only springs I could possibly use is H-Tech so yah that is why Im looking at coilovers. I dont want to just go and buy because this stuff aint cheap lol.

I just got mine. I will be installing them and testing them. Their instruction manual says they will last for years to come! We will see about that. :D ON TO THE PICSSSSSSS!

I help my buddy install those on his car.. it's a alright setup but they could've gone the extra mile with the build quality... ie brake line brackets, sway bar bracket.

Alright??? Is there a reason why I shouldnt spend the extra money on these coilovers? Also I understand about the brake line as sloxtvx (sp?) pointed out before. What do you mean by sway bar bracket? Im gonna be upgrading the sway bars when I do entire suspension. Again Im not gonna just waste my money. I got to make sure that Im spending my money wisely :D

well my buddy been rolling around for half a year with no major problems. The brake line bracket is a few thin strips of metal that you bend up to hold the brake lines (you might as well just zip tie em).. and the sway bar mount is some weird universal thing threaded to the shock body instead of welded to the lower mount. It is what it is for the money, still better than your typical spring strut setup.

I haven't seen the greatest things about the Ksports over on the Mazda6 boards. Then again, a couple of guys who blew them quickly were running in Autox.

a few guys here have bilstein. I'd go for koni if i were to do a sping strut or a sleeve-coliver strut setup. But there's nothing like a good one piece coilover dampener setup.

and you get what you pay for, 800 shipped is a real deal for a fully adjustable coilover dampener setup. Most fully adjuatable coilover dampener setup for 4 wheel macpherson susp starts at at least 1600.. Tein Flex, JIC, Cusco, Silk Road

Blistien is made for corollas under the universal setup, the cost is not too bad and the performance it pretty good.

I'm ordering my KYB GR-2 shocks and Eibach camber bolts in a week or so when my income tax money comes in.
I"m still trying to decide for certain which springs I'm gonna order. I want a slightly firmer feel to the suspension, and enough of a drop to be noticeable. I"m stuck between Tein S-Techs and H&R's. I know DOT has H&R's and plenty of people have the Teins. WHich would be better for daily driving and still giving a decent (and noticeable!) drop?
