i've got a question for CIVIC SI is it the hamster style one or the new coupe one?? and is this for straight line or all around performance?

if it is straight line and the hamster style EP civic then the following:

    1. S2K
    2. RSX Type S
    3. Celica GT-S
    4. Sentra SE-R Spec V
    5. Corolla XRS
    6. Civic SI

no turbo all normally aspirated engines. i'd have to go with Turismo on that list and why do you put a S2K in here?

I hung with an S2K in my old '96 Firebird, and used to blow the doors off Spec-V's on a weekly basis.

Can't believe he thinks he'll outrun the S2K.

We need to define the metric - what exactly are we talking about with the speed?

Top end speed, 0-60MPH speed, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, etc.?

Nah... I've blown the doors off plenty of 1.8T's, unless yours has like 250+hp. Now the 2.8T's are harder to hang with, go get an Audi S4 :D

idk about the spec v and the celica and the RSX-S.... i've ridden in a Spec-V one and i can say that thing got alot of power....idk y they aren't faster, 175hp and 180 torque on a car with a lsd and a 6 speed and weighs as much as a XRS....

Your wrong if you think the Spec V is faster than the Celica GT-S. Spec V's are good off the line because they have low-end power along with a short-geared tranny. But once they start going towards top-end, they suck. Also, the QR25DE engine IMO sucks. I've seen heavily modded QR25DE's engines get beat by lightly modded K20A2's. Would've been better if Nissan would've put their SR20VE engine instead.

Wow... You must be nervous or something because you are slipping . First you say my Corolla isn't pushing 250+ when I didn't even claim that it was in the first place, I was saying unless your car has 250+ because it is a heavier car. You then say that I have no idea what mods you have? Hmmmm, by stating the 'unless you have 250+' kind of covers me on the not knowing what mods you have. And then after stating that I don't know what mods you have you then say my Corolla doesn't have 250+ hp? How would you know, have you ever dyno tuned my 2001 Toyota Corolla with custom turbo, intake, fuel system, management at my current altitude? I await your half-wit reply  This time try to take a little more time to sort out the details first so you don't get put in your place so easily :D

    :slapem: <--- I like this emote :D

I know that you arent pushing 250 on your rolla. I doubt you even know what youre pushing,......I doubt youve even gotten it dynoed. At least you got it tuned this time..... but I have yet to see a turboed corolla up in the mid 200 hp range.
I fail to see how Ive been "put in my place".

I changed the plugs in my engine and now it's ticking like a mad man, like if something metallic felt into the piston or the piston is hitting the spark

First off you must talk to your couch a lot! How much HP do I have? You obviously know so quit holding out on me  Do I need to send you a sound clip of my engine revving at a certain RPM so you can calculate the exact HP curve? How do you do it :p And BTW you still don't get it, I never said my car has 250+ so get off it  And just because you have never seen a 250hp Corolla doesn't mean they don't exist :ninjastea... MonkeyWrenchRacing has a 1ZZ pushing 300 - 400hp on stock internals, give it up man :D

Oh crap, pull the spark plugs and shine a flash light down in there and look around, make sure you didn't knock in some debree or a couple washer peices or something.

I don't know, it has never been on a Dyno. My 250+ was just an estimation based on cars I have spanked (1.8T jetta's being one of them). Plus I have a boost controller so if I want more power for a short time I just push the up arrow a few times :D

I deny your right to apologize on my behalf  You should be smarter then that and simply apologize for participating in this banter in the first place ;)

It's not about who has what :D It's about Eric needing a spanking every now and again J/K hehehe :D But seriously, it's no big deal. We just get some joy out of pulling eachothers hair, thats all :p

1.8T Jettas have anywhere from 150-180hp, depending on year.

This is true. Just adding fuel to the fire. :W00t

    Its all because of this:
