Sorry to hear about the wreck - if you run the touge - you are going to wreck. Not a matter of if it will happen, just a matter of when. I'm all for trying out new things and new experiences - just have to really think about the possible outcomes.

Just be thanking your lucky stars that your ass walked from this wreck - some others are not as fortunate. Sounds like a hard way to learn - personally I would have tore up parking lot before I attempt a run like that. Car may be tip top - but unless you shake out a run - only bad things will happen.

How many times have you run down that road before? Unless you got mad skills or been down the road hundreds of times - I would not have pushed it even with others behind driving the pace. Don't blame the car or brakes - that just means you were pushing too hard. Some people say that better brakes would have helped - experience tells me that it just pushes up the envelope up a notch and fall harder when you lose it.

Get the car fixed up and just cruise, like you mentioned before. Would have saved you some trouble if you did that in the first place :D.

On public roads??? No. End of story.

Now, if this was on a private road shut down to the public, its a different story. Was this a sanctioned event? Saying that the road doesnt get much traffic isnt a good enough excuse.

    Exactly.

Yes, it is. It has nothing to do with him trying to do a high speed drift....it has to do with him doing it on public roads. (unless this was a sanctioned event or something). Your entire argument is moot because you are arguing the wrong point. And the professional driver swapping paint/wrecking in their careers example is retarded. Try again. You seem to be missing the point.

well I've been up the mountain almost 15 times already. Ya this I guess just puts it as charge to experience. Really this is my first wreck to where it was my fault. The wrecks from my old car was either it being hit by a car when it was parked or when my ex drove it. Flame all you want. Doing touge and racing my car is part of my life. If you don't like what I do and don't like seeing me do stupid shit then why the hell you have to drag it on so long in the internet and argue about it. I'm trying not to have arguements here online and this is just a freakin forum guys so just shit relax and enjoy each other. No wonder there's so little members on this site cause of people just like talking shit about each other and what not. e_andree I've been so patient with you for along time buddy. Almost every thread I see you in, your always posting something negative or what not. Well if that's what you like doing then props to you man. I know the risk factors of the things I do and its always part of racing. Whats the point of upgrading your car by making it faster and making it handle better when you don't use it and see how it really performs. This isn't gonna stop me from doing what I'm doing. I'm just gonna learn from this and take more precautions next time. And how can some of you guys judge a person's driving when all the info you have are just pics of bad situations. I mean everyone has been through accidents. Some of you guys are really quick to judge a person and I don't know what to think about all that. But man after all the crappy attitudes from this site makes me wonder why all the other forums have so much more members on.

Wow... [Claps slowly]... [Claps faster]... You have shown me the way Eric...

Not really, just f'in with ya man :D We have different opinions on things, that is for sure. Your always so sure of yourself, so I'm going to learn from your example and be sure of myself too, so what I said is true and your counter argument is moot... So take that!

I gotta keep standing up for the guy cuz he's a good friend of mine....but I was fixin to say before he did that he's experienced...but youre right...an inevitable accident touge racing is always a question of when...but once again, he has had experience and he's begun where you've said we've all begun...vacant parking lots, back roads, etc and that was when he was here...heck, for a fwd with his corolla when he was still drivin that, he wasnt too shabby at all...and plus, he's been "training", if you will, with some of the more experienced in his area in the Philippines ever since he's been there (although i didnt know he did it 15 times already, u learn quick buddy, lol)...I know he knows the risks involved just like every other motorsport and that accidents are inevitable, indicated by the fact that only a few cars came back from the run...but he can fix what was damaged and will be up to him whether or not he continues to pursue this type of adrenaline rush...

Blah blah blah. If you look through my posts, you will see that the negative posts are far far fewer than the positive posts.Hell, run a search on threads that Ive actually started, and then come back and say that all of my posts are negative. :( I say whats on my mind.....no use in pussyfooting around. Some will agree...some wont. Oh well.

And the reason that this board has stayed so small is that there arent THAT many people modding their rollas. Hell, majority of people on this board dont even own a corolla anymore. :)This board has FAR LESS negativity than many other boards out there. If I get under your skin THAT much, throw me on ignore. Youve held your own though.

And you still dont seem to get my point....your drifting on public roads, correct? If this had been a sanctioned, private event on closed roads, I wouldnt have said anything.

No, Ill admit when Im wrong, plain and simple. You are just arguing the wrong point here......it was a matter of him racing on public roads, not the fact that he actually wrecked.

    Its Canada's fault anyways:)

i agree with him there. i am also a member in another forum and over there its not flaming anymore.... its more of flame thrower (wonk wonk wonk) .... sometimes its not even funny when people put too much attention on one thing that does not even need to be put too much attention on. personally when someone says something negative @ me i ignore, even if i know im right.

well I'm glad Eric (e andree) isn't stating a thing about this ERik I totally rule in having No accident to date I've caused Knock on wood and last week close call surely had some respect but hell shit happends let's not knock someone down for it .Personally I don't care about Eric's approach on how he conduct's himself on his post he seems like me very up front and honest about his view point's which has it's pro's and con's along with everybody else. The good thing about vvti is everybody seems to respect each and everybody for there differences and Just think I was about to leave vvti because I'm tired about everybody's Bs Into Bull fighting on the forums but I've learned to just deal with the flow shit is going to happen dont add your 2 cent's..

This happened in the Phillipines, things work different, just like they work different in any other part of the world that is not the USA.

Every road is up for grabs, and if it is anything like in South America, stop lights, road rules, and the police don't mean sh!t! And no one realy cares since there is one little detail that separates it from here, there are no lawsuits, or car insurance to worry about.

If you crash and kills someone, then you may die by someone beating you to death (relatives of diseased person) or they make sure to give you the right type of "justice".

I say keep on racing, and if you get seriously hurt, and hurt others on the process, then you live with the consequences. Personally I am fed up with the way the system works here in the US, and I have been in accidents on other countries, with bodily injuries to myself, and guess what, I am still here, nobody sued anyone, and I am not handicapped (lucky me) and no one died. But these are smaller countries, where there is really not much to loose.

    IBe_andreelinkstosomeoscurelawwheretherearelawsuitsinthirdworldcountriesduetocaraccidents.

Keep on trucking man! :D
