    Fastrolla touge wreck.

Well we had a touge meeting today at Cebu's infamous trans central mountain. Sadly we had a bad run in with my subaru and another. The other blew up an engine, and mine well wrecked pretty bad after losing control during a highspeed sharp turn. I lost control of a highspeed drift trying to lose an m3 and a turbo celica. We had 5 cars go up and 3 come back in one piece. Ya its gonna be in the shop in a while, but atleast I'm ok and the car can be saved.

umm yeah once this car is on the road again its just gonna be for cruising now cause man I feel sorry for it. I'm gonna get an old s13 here to beat up on cause unlike the other guys I go with they have like 3-5 cars to mess up. Hehe damn this sport cost so much money. Oh well you learn from this kind of mistake. Hehe damn I miss my cheap corolla. Oh we got spare parts ready to put on already and it is fixable so If I still use this car for speed, its just gonna be on a straight line.

Considering the amount of times youve posted on this board about you wrecking, your engines blowing up, etc, Ive come to the conclusion that you cant drive worth a shit :)

ok buddy..... believe what you want. I'm just someone who actually drives my car to its limit and enjoys it. Sorry if you think that way. And you know what this is my first wreck to where it was my fault.

oh well I don't mind. The shop that sponsors me here is gonna help me out and hook me up on some parts so next time I will definitely get some endless ceramic brakes so that my brakes won't lock up next time. Dayum I guess I get flamed now since I don't drive a corolla anymore. Its ok I deserve it. I put my rides to the limit so its just part of the game. I got no problem breaking things cause I'm also a mechanic and can fix the problems and got no problem with getting parts.

Cool that things have changed for ya...but every other time something happened you your car, you would whine and cry about having to pay, that ya didnt have the funds to do what you wanted, etc.

And it has nothing to do with the fact that you dont drive a corolla anymore. The ratio of those that drive rollas to those that dont on this board is about even.

And I doubt it was the brakes.....most likely driver. How would getting ceramic pads prevent you from locking them up? That makes no sense at all.

And driving your car to the limits and trying to drift it Initial D style is two different things. Im not familiar with the roads that you were on, but it seems pretty irresponsible to try drifting on public roads. At least ya didnt kill anyone or take anyone with you into that ditch.

Its cool. You're getting flamed by someone who doesn't drive a corolla.

Yep. But what does that matter anyways?I think there are more NON corolla owners on this board than corolla owners.

yeah I'm with eric.... I'm sure i could bring up all the threads about the corolla messing up and bla bla bla...so our point is why go around messing up a car thats cost you money when you were whining about spending so much money on a car before????
And your a mechanic? Why is the corolla not running then?

Yeah.....sometimes I'm a little peeved at that, but one day I'll get a different car thats sportier with more aftermarket support and then I'll be one of the non-corolla drivers. A car enthusiast is a car enthusiast, even if its a poor bastard with a Prizm.

This thread cracked me up... Guy shows off wreck, Eric takes an unneccesary poke at thread author, thread author tries to shake it off, Eric keeps on comming :) Just to throw another variable in to the thread... Eric, can you name a single professional race car driver that has not so much as swapped paint with another car? I doubt you can. Does that mean they are bad drivers even though they win tons of races in there careers and have mad sponsorship? I think not :) Wrecking a car is part of pushing it to the limits and taking high risks for high gains. Its like gambling :D He made a bad decision in a turn trynig to push his position and keep the faster cars at bay. The bet didn't pay off this time around and I'm sure he learned.

Moral of this post : Eric, take it easy on people :) He was drifting a hard high speed turn, its not like he totalled his car driving 35mph in to the back of someone while talking on the cell phone. And calling people bad drivers based on such vauge information doesn't seem very nice ;)

hehe, i noticed that too in the picture...back when i went to the Philippines, everyone wore flip flops...too hot all the time to wear shoes...

..and I believe he told me before that the road he was on is a private road that becomes a dead end at the top and gets shut down when they have touge events...i mean, the governor of the philippines shuts down a portion of the highway to hold drag racing events...its a different world than is the United States...so it was in a controlled environment just like any auto-x is..same risks too...

    good analogy...

yeah, too bad, but at least it will cost next to nothing to get it fixed with even better parts. i know what the costs are like over there! (i'm from thailand)

good luck, and when the brakes lock up, let go of them and try to accelerate out of your spin. but........ don't you have abs anyway?

well what I meant with getting ceramic brakes from endless is that my stock brakes tend to lose its braking power sooner compared to better brake pads. Ya I over shot the turn and locked the brakes, but still tried to counter it, but while exciting the turn the car kept sliding too much. I had shifted the gear down already to use the engine brakes so I didn't lock it up very long at all. And yes the road we use is very empty and if it wasn't no one would use it for mountain runs. The car has no abs cause we don't use abs when we run cause sometime its safer not to have abs. And with better brakes you can handle the car better so that's what my friend kept telling me to do was to get some endless brake ceramic pads and stuff. Sorry its kinda hard for me to explain cause kinda hard to put it to words. And yea we know these things is part of the game so we know the possibilities. The car is fixable and some sti suspension parts is gonna replace the entire front end suspension. Got another zerosport kit waiting to be installed and the damage is barely gonna be 1 grand. Yup its cheaper here and no matter how bad the car gets over here the mechanics in the philippines can fix it.

Fastrolla96, sorry to hear about your subaru. since your in the phils. do you know where to buy the AE101 rear brake. I'm asking my brother to get me one of those for my rolla. Can you tell me the name of the surplus store and probably a contact person that my brother can talk too. Probably the person that can give good ones rather than a stuck up brake.

but improvement comes only from trial and error..he's never actually touge raced before until he moved to the philippines....before, he was like all of us wannabes with fwd pullin the ebrake at 25mph around an empty corner....now that he's moved and practiced with the experienced, he's actively touging and can keep control at +60mph....even the D1GP guys crash at their events...
