    ATTENTION: Those who used my wiring chart for thier Emanage.

    There may be an error in your ignition and injector wiring that isn't noticable unless you advance your timing. I've been running with it like this for three years with issues, but you may want to recheck your wiring.

    I was cruising NewCelica.org for a wiring guide because I had stumbling issues when advancing my timing even just 1 degree. I found the below image posted there. It basically shows:

    Emanage -> ECU
    Injector 1 -> INJ1
    Injector 2 -> INJ3
    Injector 3 -> INJ4
    Injector 4 -> INJ2
    Ignition 1 -> IGT1
    Ignition 2 -> IGT3
    Ignition 3 -> IGT4
    Ignition 4 -> IGT2

    which is the firing order for the cylinders (1,3,4,2), where as mine (as done by the shop) was 1 -> 1, 2 -> 2, 3 -> 3, 4 -> 4. My appologies to those who may have to suffer tearing apart 75% of the dash just to get to the ECU. Ug, I'm dreading taking it apart yet again this weekend.

    You fixed it in exactly the same manner as I described above? Just want a confirmation before tearing apart the dash again. I can't believe I didn't find this wiring problem for almost 3 years. Lol.

    Thanks Vamp - that is one heck of a nugget you just found.

    Wiring is always a PITA to do correctly - even harder if the original instructions are not clear. Excellent work as always man.

    Thanks. This should be correct then. I went over all the wiring connections to make sure. Looks like I have my Sunday morning booked.

    Nice! Let me know if this corrects your problem, right now my timing map is 0 because it acts really funny and when I advance the timing the engin starts sputtering and running crazy rough.

    hey vamp,

    after i installed my emanage (last may) i sent you a barrage of e-mails telling you that your wiring on your site was wrong and that the way you just posted is correct. guess i should have tried harder :p

    For some reason, I don't remember that. At least I got it updated now. Those directions from the Celica were from MonkeyWrenchRacing's preprogrammed units, so you know they gotta be correct.

    Just rewired my eManage ignition and injector harnesses today and now I can advance my timing. Car seems to run better too. We also rewired the injector harness on hazer's 97 turbo to 1,3,4,2 and a lot of his stalling and stumbling problems went away.

    Looks like I'm going to have to do some re-wiring this weekend.

    So having the injectors hooked up wrong means what? That when I was adding more fuel it was during the wrong stroke? :)

    Not sure, but when we wired the 97 Corolla's injectors in the 1342 manner, it ran like a new car afterwards.

    Crazy, Vamp. Could you PM me your cell so I could hit you up this weekend if I hit a snag, I'm going to do some re-wiring, probably going to pick up that O2 conditioner too while I'm at it and an O2 simulator for the 2nd O2 sensor, if you have a suggest on that I'm all ears.

    I got a rear O2 sim from urdusa.com as well.

    Yeah, I think this weekend is going to be operation 'Tell the ecu to shut the %#@$ up' :D Right now my engine light is on, the car runs like crap and it feels a little ruff under hard boost. Hopefully a re-write plus o2 sim plus o2 conditioner will calm things down :)

    They dont list my car for the O2 sim? Does it even matter which one I get?

    Where can I find a good deal on a wideband O2 kit right now? I think the first two things I should do is get the rear O2 sim to correct my CEL and get a Wideband O2 so I can see how far off my tune really is. Then I'll get the parts like the EGO1, etc.

    Maybe you can email them about the rear or sim. You might even be able to get away with using a resistor on the rear O2 signal wire, but I'm not sure what the exact procedure is. As for a wideband, I'm using the PLX-M300 for mysetup.

    Does the PLX-M300 have the narrow band output for your ECU or do you have o run it in addition to a stock O2 sensor? Also the analog wire out? Have you hooked it up to your eManage so you can log your O2 readings?

    Yes, it has both a narrow and wideband output and can be used in place of the stock O2 sensor. I don't have it hooked up to my eManage because I have the Greddy pressure sensor hooked into that port.

    Where do you display your wideband data? Do you have that LED module they ship with it mounted somewhere?

    The M-300 has a red LED output. I have it in place of my clock on the dash.

    Ive been using the emanage ultimate. I think I used someone elses maps to wire it into my ECU though because my car works fine. Even when I adjust the igintion.

    And if anyone cares, Im using an Innovate Motorsports wideband o2. Its also hooked into my emanage.

    I eventually want to boost the car, Ive already got a Garrett T3 turbo, but thats it. I still need to get a turbo manifold, new fuel pump, injectors, and all the other misc. stuff. Ill probally be boosted sometime in February.

    Just order my M-300 from UnderDog, Thanks again Vamp for the great info. I'm going to to rewire the emanage when all the goodies show up. I'm going to try to install my oil cooler, oil pressure guage, rear O2 sim, PLX M-300 and re-write the emanage all at the same time ;)

    Cool. I might upgrade to the Ultimate one day, but i think I got everything worked out pretty well with my Blue so far. Been spending the last 2 weeks trying to balance out my fuel map between cold start and running temp without either having misfires or fuel trim too rich CELs.

    Cool, I'm pretty much copying your setup vamp, once I get the ESC1 then we'll be pretty identical with exception to fuel injectors. I think I'll give yours maps a try once I get everything installed and re-wired.

    Just keep in mind my turbo may not spool as quick as yours. Just take the last column in my injector and ignition maps and copy it all accross.

    Damn, I still have not had a chance to get to this :) Vamp, how is the car doing after the re-wire? I'm thinking about re-wiring my next weekend so I can put the car back on the road. Need to pull the downpipe and weld up an O2 bung for the wideband.

    My car ran great up until the part where the rod exploded. On hazer00's 97 Corolla, all his acceleration hesitating problems went away after the rewire.
