    2007 TRD Performance Yaris Liftback

The Yaris was only recently unveiled in the U.S., and Toyota has already given one the aftermarket treatment. This Blazing Blue Yaris has TRD wheels, Sportivo suspension, cold-air intake, strut tower brace, high-response muffler, new exhaust manifold, lightweight flywheel, mechanical limited-slip, low-temp thermostat, and air and oil filters. There is an Eclipse audio system inside, as well as TRD-embroidered sport seats, Toyota Genuine Accessory gearshift knob and pedal covers.

It would be logical, because a LSD won't make too much difference without having some significant power behind it.

Probably add 30-40% to hp/torque numbers.

I've already seen pics of a 2zz swapped in to an echo hatchback. it looked like a tight fit but 170hp in that size car is amazing.

2zz-ge on a Yaris is a real good choice and someone done this on a black Echo.

A turbo kit from an xa or xb should fit on it. That would be an amazing little car.

On the stock engine as it shares engines. 2zz would provide alot more power and imagine turboing that hehe.

Yaris is smaller, lighter(not by much though), and is more "hip" then the granny corolla but I have nothing against a corolla. I drive one myself and I love it.

I wasn't comapring which car was smaller (even though the 9th gens already weigh less than a mini coop), but the fact that the 9th gens have more power under the hood stock. and everything from membraces, sways to s/c are available right now from TRD. Plus there's no hip and yaris in the same sentence for me, lol.

Okay, this is somewhat veering off the main topic....but between the TRD Toyota Yaris and the Spoon Honda Fit (despite the fact the Fit is not a production model), how would the two differ down the drags and around the track...

To each their own. I like the 9th gen and I like the yaris. Yaris is deff more hip than the 9th gen, especially the hatch. The colors it comes in look more hip and trendy. The blue, the red, etc. The tv ads that are out for the yaris make it look hip and from what I think, it is hip. Sedan on the other hand if a diff story.

ehh I'm just not a hatch man. They do not look classy to me and probably never will.
I like cars that can play both sides of the fence, class & power. the s/c corolla is a start for me. lol
It still looks nice and sleek on the inside and outside, with some oompf under the hood. I can't see taking a girl to a really classy event and picking her up in a Yaris. [shrug] I dunno, just my taste. :)
Take the new mazdaspeed 3 coming out. (only bring it up because its a hatch like the Yaris) IMO it would have looked better as a sedan, like the 6.
A sedan just seems more grown up to me whereas hatches apeal to the younger, immature croud. Again, just my opinion.
