I have a much cheaper idea. our gas door is already plastic so you're not saving any weight by switching to carbon fiber. go find an online shop that sells carbon fiber vinyl and cut to size. probably cost $15 vs $80+ for the same look

Well from what the description says its pretty much the same thing except wrapped in real carbon fiber. They just wrapped a stock lid. And either way its probably for show. Deff not for weight reduction.

I'm not. It'd be very difficult for me to take in ~240-250g protein/day without meat..I don't know how you'd do it..

It not too hard to get protein without meat - beans and legumes have quite a lot of protein. Add yogurt, cheeses, and tofu - you get a lot more, but also depends on their religion.

As for the CF gas lid - sure looks nice, but for $80 - I would want it to be all CF, not an overlaid OEM piece with some CF on it. Plus, $80 would cover the cost of a few tanks of gas - little too rich for me with just all show, no go benefit.

250 grams of protein in beans is one helluva lot of beans, isn't it? :p

    And yeah..$80? Waaay to expensive.
