    Leaf Spring Squeak

I'm starting the official thread here as well,

Please add yourself to the list if your rear leaf springs squeak over bumps and rough terrain. Also, if you have any good fixes for this problem, please share them, as I feel like I've tried everything and mine still squeaks.

The longest fix I had was to remove both rear wheels, and both shocks...simple green the absolutely sh!t out of the leaf packs, and use a Dry Moly Lube very heavily on them. It took a couple days, but the squeak did finally go away...within a couple of months it was back.

Please...Take away the squeaking! Sounds like a d@mn chipmunk is under there mocking me.

    :)

Just put some fatass in the bed when off-roading, or going over rough roads.

    :)

I have it to a mild extent.

As much as I wish that would solve the problem, it won't. ...this squeak is VERY high pitched...even with some hard-core black metal blasting in the cab, I can hear it.

See, that's the thing... I don't think it is the shocks... because when I pulled the rear shocks out and tested them they didn't make any noise. I have a feeling it is either the leaf pack itself or the bushings in the spring hangers.

Or maybe it's just the drivers with those few extra pounds?
