    Vortex Valve

I'm thinking about getting a vortex valve i'll be doing alot of highway driving and i'm guessing this thing works better with higher rpms and i figure doing 80mph for hours at a time will help me more.... Right now i get 34-35 mpg on highway doing 80mph the whole time from full to empty tank of 4 sometin hours of driving....THis is using cruise control 95% of the time and the occacional redline like once an hour trying to pass someone
For 77 dollars i should be saving some shortly....

    Any experience

Wasting your money. Save that money for some gas.

Just like the Tornado and the Turbonator, all it does is spin the air going into your throttle body.

34-35mpg is about right for that speed. the 38mpg quotes only happen at like 55mph, any above that and you start loosing mileage again.

well this thing doesn't spin its a solid piece of metal that just sends air at a particle pattern that makes a vortex pushing air in faster.... thats wat i figured too.... i got a k&n air filter thats somewat clean and 87 gas and pushing 80mph so i figured 34mpg is about right

and thats with me burning oil

damn it! but i redlined it few times and also out cornered a benz c320 4matic on the highway doin 90+ so that might have dropped me another 1 or 2

i think my car does ok though considering how it burns oil apparently. Was thinking about taking a loan out and buying a new civic. Non Si. Probably 4 door but i guess i'm ok for a while

...it spins the air going into your throttlebody. :)

And just because it pushes the air in faster, doesn't mean your engine is going to intake anymore than it normally would with your filter set-up.
