i dont see why that would be a bad choice. i have H&Rs and the ride is way softer than i thought with 300/250 lbs/in spring rates. rides like a truck in terms of stiffness and is very liveable. i kinda wish i got something stiffer like ground control coilovers or skunk2. i would also say get tocikos cuz i heard theyre a bit stiffer so the ride wont be so bouncy.

maybe you have the race-spec springs, but my dad's stock 06 has a ride as stiff as my car with H&Rs

The Tein S-techs are soft. And the Tokico HP's are stiff and do not take kindly to imperfections in the road. That's the setup I have.

well the only reason i didn't go with springs is becuz my rear r low..real low...like it waas dropped are something and the front has a huge gap.so that's why i'm going with coilovers. i'm just wondering if these two would be a good combination..??
kyb and skunk2 coilovers...if not what kind of coilover or shocks.
    thnx

skunk 2's will give you a ride like a riced out honda. youll bounce all over the road. if you get coilovers i say do it the right way. wich means you spend alot of $.

so the skunk2 is not good?? waht about with tokico shocks and skun2's??

ok how bout me getting a different kind of spring for the back like .5 or1 " drop and for the front 1.5" to 2"...
would that bother the car?? two different kind of springs???
    or just get those coilovers..

its not the drop thats the issue, its having the right spring rate dampened by the right shock. for a high performance setup you'll want the highest spring rate that the shock can dampen, which means when you go over bumps, you dont want the wheel to hop after hitting it. the factors that influence this are wheel weight, shock valving and spring rate. best way to find out what works best for the car is to experiment, and since you dont have an unlimited budget go to a meet and ask other corolla owners for rides to get a feel for what would work for you. Everyone in my autocross club agrees that in my corolla the springs are too soft, which makes it unpredictable in a corner as compared to other cars. if you want to keep the smooth ride and prevent body lean in corners, get just shocks and sway bars.

forget combos, go one piece. Spring/strut combos are a joke.

    ditto.

for the price you pay for a good spring/strut combo, you can actually get a decent set of coilovers.

groundcontrol coilvers and any aftermarket struts is a good combination but oh wells you ordered your springs already,so you should be fine with it.

yea i hope the tein's and tokico's will be good...
i was gonna go with coilovers, cuz the front gap is huge compared to the rear of the car.
    but we'll see..thanx anyway

Same setup on my 94 corolla but f***in' good on handling. Full coilovers will be next after this setup.

Groundcontrol are good for higher performance struts depending on the stiffness of the springs. usually high performance (stiffer) springs are way too much for gr2 or tokico blues to handle. You'd go with AGX or Koni or iluminas if you dont want your struts (shocks, dampers) to blow. but if you're getting something less than 3kg/mm springs you should be fine on gr2 or blues.

My car corners much better as well. But in all honesty I regret lowering my car. Call me a grandpa, but I miss my somewhat-smooth civilized ride.
