    indeed...

as for r&d? hahaha that's just exhaust tubing bent to match the path along with some home depot connectors. :) (i'm not doggin it, im just sayin thats what it is)

a word to the wise about using exhaust pipe tubing for CAI's and SRI's --- DONT. moisture will ALWAYS build up inside your piping, there is nothing you can do about it... now the moisture isnt the issue, its what happens when that moisture comes in contact with the tubing on the inside... yes, rust... now, this rust can/will break off eventually and can cause MAJOR damage to your engine... imagine metal flakes going into your engine, because that is what will happen... use a good quality stainless steel or aluminum if you're going to build an intake, NEVER, EVER use exhaust grade steel.

About the home depot connector. Are they able to withstand the temp in the engine bay. They might disintegrate and get sucked in the engine.

My philosophy is to never do anything ghetto.. With intakes/charge pipes, always aluminum piping, stainless maybe but that stuff is heavy. Couplers, always silicone. Might cost you more now but you wont regret it in the long run.

And PLEASE, no PCV pipe intakes.

    ROFLMAO!

the visual on that one just reminded me of something from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey... those robots they made with all that PVC looked so ghetto and the thought of that in an engine bay just makes me die laughing.

whats the problem with abs plastic? as long as it can withstand the heat its good IMO because it doesnt have heat soak like metal does. you can even paint it to make it look good

Ive actually been using his exact intake now since he has been making them. I have had NO problem with it. The couplers have been holding up fine in the engine bay, and I dont see ANY rust on it, either the inside or ourside. Sure it LOOKS ghetto, but it works great.

Someone should make an intake out of Dryer hose :D You know that giant accordian hose stuff that connects your dryer to the outside vent! That would be pimp. Probably would sound crazy when you got on the gas too....

I have the same one and I just took mine out and checked inside and out. No rust. It is fine. One thing I did a long time ago was replace the filter that superpilun used with a K & N filter. That mesh filter that he provided was a piece of junk that did nothing to filter dust and dirt. If you are still using that one, do yourself a flavor and trash it.
