    Bill Moore Lake Road - 7/23/06 (56k)

So here we go, I had to come over to Kris' to get these online since the video card in my laptop fried my whole system. This trail was up in Empire...about 35 miles out of Denver.

WELL worth the drive. Beautiful trail with some decent challenges. There was one hill we even had to bypass. ...Ouch.

This was the top...Bill Moore Lake. Absolutely stunning.

This was along the ridge, right by the lake. There was a cave that Travis and Kris were trying to get to...but they gave up about half-way there. :D
    [IMG]

Badass forest scenary, this is what the side of most of the trail looked like.

Good view up near the top of the peak.

This is the "poser" rock at the end of the trail. Both Travis and I had sky on the back-end. My door didn't really shut that well.

Part of an old mine that was RIGHT next to the trail.

I had to...damn artsey Tundra shots.

And finally, what wheelin' trip would be complete, with a totally goofy-ass picture of Kris...standing somewhere...doing something pointless. :)

I've got a pair of videos that I'll post links to, Kris is going to do a little editing, fix the music and do a fade-in / out

Dude! That's awesome! Post it up!

Also, here's the putfile link to another video I shot...

Sorry about the 10 or so seconds where the camera fell over...and then it started to zoom in.

    ZZ-top rules.

Also, Kris apparently can't edit QuickTime movies...so the music is from my stereo.

That looked like a blast..sigh...sometimes, I wish I could take my vehicle offroading....hell, it can barely make it over speed bumps, railroad tracks, and raised manhole covers tho, lol..

Hell yeah, as long as I have the money to go wheelin', I go!

This weekend may get cancelled due to lack of funds, unless Rick gets off his ass and pays me for my bike.

I was getting into a rut living in the suburbs of Denver. I was starting to forget just how beautiful the state of Colorado is. So I started to wheel, and it really opened my eyes back up.

So far the only major damage I've received is two MASSIVE dents in my Nerf bars from a super narrow V-Notch of rocks. :D

Everybody come to Colorado, buy a 4WD vehicle and come wheeling!

^Eh air a little to thin for me  j/k but your lucky that your in an area where you can go wheelin all the time. Id prolly have to drive like 60+ miles to find a place to wheel.

ROFL! Yeah...hiking around the lakes is great...but at 11-12k feet...even living at 5200 feet...I find myself huffing and puffing after a couple hundred yards.

instead of rediculous speed you're conquering hella rough terrain.

Those videos don't even do the trail justice either. It looks like I'm just minding my own business driving down a smooth dirt road about 20 mph. I was actually going about...2...and bouncing around all over the place. :D
