    anybody else have an inverter?

    As I went on a trip this weekend I brought along a 500W inverter and hooked it up to my car, so, I got to use my laptop for about 4 hours and the car still started right up:D wonder what else I can use this thing for .. video game system? tv? anybody else have one?

    ive been using an inverter for years also. I actually have it hardwired into my car on a switch. Its under my passenger seat and it runs my laptop, USB hub and external hard drive.

    I have a 1500 watt inverter that runs my CarPC, Laptop and a Leaf Blower if I feel the need ;) I can run my CarPC with screen for about 4 - 5 hours and still start my car and it consumes about 200 watts of power.

    Edit : I should probably add that I have a Optima Blue Top marine battery.

    you know it! :D my parents saw I was using an inverter and wanted to hook up a microwave to it, I was like ughh, sorry.. that needs 1200W, my little 500 wont work

    That would be sweet. I should put coffee hot plates in my cup holders too ;)

    I don't recal saying anything about it being better then the yellow top? But I think it is :D
