Kingston Peak Trip Report - Independance Day Wheelin' (56k no-no)

So Trav and I took off to Kingston Peak this morning about eight. We just got back about 20 minutes ago. 100+ miles round trip...about 45 of them ON TRAIL. Long trail...had a blast out there today. The top of Kingston Peak is roughly about 14,000 feet above sea level.

So anyways, on to the pics!

This was the view from our first stopping point. If you look real close, you can see tha tthe waterfall at the back of the lake is frozen. Yeah! Frozen on the 4th of July.

A good pic of the snow fields from the top, on the way back down.

This is just a basic picture of Lisa and Trav's jeep.

Another of my artsy Tundra shots.

Here's a half-way decent shot of what little flex the Tundra has...I was close to skying.

Here's a shot of Trav's jeep in the giant puddles of muddy water we found.

    I love this picture...

Ok, so at the top of Kingston Peak, there is a giant pile of rocks. It's called the Kingston Peak Guest Book. You're supposed to grab a rock, throw it on the pile...and there is a box of markers in a sealed box. You're supposed to write something on the rock. So, here we go. :D

There you have it, look for another trip report on Saturday. :D

I didn't know that the Tundra came in a two-tone scheme of Muddy Brown and Phantom Gray.

Man, I wish I hadn't lost the photos of my Tundra when I took it off-roading and got it filthy. I even had a photo where I was stuck. I had to be pulled out, by all vehicles, a Jeep Wrangler like your friend's there, Andy.

Nice sig photo you have there, Erik. I also like the motto.

I miss driving my truck and I hope I can get healthy enough quick enough to not only start driving it and going back to work, but also get back to working on it. I still want to level/lift my truck, put on my bumper guard, tint my front windows, and get a solid Undercover tonneau cover. So much to do, so little time, and so little money... and I still have Transformers pre-ordered yet to get, too. Ah, I need to get back to work and get more money!
