    ahh dang it u stole my thread idea haha, jk but yea I'm watching Costa Rica vs Germany right now and Germany is up 2-1 at the half. I think Brazil might take it this year which it shouldn't come to a surprise really but well I dk only time will tell.

    don't have cable tv so I can't watch it. and I tried to watch it via yahoo online since they have an online blackout except for their site.. it's getting hammered, and you can't watch the game at all. so, there's no way I get to see it :(

    ya i think germany is not as good as ppl think... like today's game i mean that 2 goal could've been caught by the goal keeper but he was dragging his a$$ and the ball went in the goal

    how about argenina vs costa de marfil. What a game. Ivory coast has a great team. and Ecuador too, they are goin 2 the next round. they beat costa rica and they are in. England didn't show much altough Beckham got lucky, and Lampard played good. Suecia coulnt take Trinindad and Tobago, and they have Ibrahamovic, Ljumberg and Larsson, so they arent showing anything. Holand ,Mexico and portugal are gonna winnin 2morrow, unless there are more surprises!

    did you know Brazil has never won the world cup when it has been hosted by a european nation?
    i am actually pulling for Ivory Coast. Toure all the way! ha

    Germany's defense was horrible. The American coach changed the 3-5-2 system that the germans perfected to his own and their defense sucks now. oh well. we will see how they do later on.

    US plays today. any predictions? i say czech republic will win.

    did you know that USA has never won a world cup game while playing in European soil?

    USA doesn't have a good team in soccer...i don't think they do.
    the should have lost 10-1 last night. They played horribly.
    i wouldnt be suprised if they lost by Ghana...

    i agree

    all the hype here over a team that isnt all that... obviously everyone in it is gona be let down.

    the reason the US soccer team has no chance against world class teams is because other sports are more popular here: football, basketball, and baseball even. the main sport in almost every other country in the world is soccer, so while america's first rate athletes go on to other sports, the ones playing soccer for us have to face other countries' number one athletes. sure there's major league soccer nowadays but premier leagues from other countries make MLS' competition seem really lackluster.
