    Back in the shop

My car is back in the shop, my clutch starting making a loud ticking noise and is engaging kind of harsh. It feels like something is out of ballance also. They said they will drop the transmission and check everything out. I sure hope they find the problem because I can't afford to spend anymore money after the swap. Grrrr argggg. Just before the weekend two, I wanted to take her out on I90 and open her up.

Dude...what you say is wrong with your clutch sounds like a throw-out bearing.

...does it make an outrageously loud grinding noise with the clutch depressed?

Yeah, it does sound like a throw out bearing... if so, at least the part isn't expensive (just labour is a bitch on it because they have to drop the transmission, but it sounds like they are doing that already)

It makes a semi loud griding noise that gets louder as I drive. And it only happens when the clutch is engaged. I agree that it is probably the throw out bearing. But the clutch was chattering when I engaged it a little bit and it vibrated so I think they somehow didn't torque my pressure plate right so the fingers were not engaging with equal force on the TOB and that probably toasted it. But we'll see what they say in the next few days about it.
