All I used was a piece of 5 foot PVC pipe, 2 eyehooks (3/16 by 2 1/2) and a bolt.

    Tools needed

Hardware used, the bolt will be different depending on how big the hole under your camara is (where the tripod sits at)

I had to take the eyes hooks and open them up some so that they will fit.

The rest of the install is laying the pipe out marking where the headrest arms are at drill the holes out install them and then mark where you want the camara to sit at. It was easy to do.

For anyone who thinks that this is not gonna work here is a vid.

camera needs to sit up a little higher so you can actually see the road instead of just a view of the sky.

all you need is some chicken wire and plexiglass to cover b/w the seats and above/below the pvc pipe and you have made yourself a corolla cop car with camera just like on COPS.

I've done almost the same exact thing with an aluminum bar and found it sits too low.. a few weeks ago somebody showed me a platform they built that plugs in to their passenger seat headrest holes and sits in place of the headrest w/camera.
