    Got a great compliment today

I got off work and needed to get gas so I cross an intersection and pull into a gas station and get out of my car. I look over and see this slightly modded eclipse (intake and nice exhaust...not riced out at all). The guy gets out of his car (he's in his upper 20's) he then proceeds to walk a circle around my car. At this point I'm a little like, okay, whats going on. Well he walks up to me and is like man I have to tell you you have one of the nicest cars I've seen down here. He then tells me he had to get a closer look because when I went through the intersection he had no idea what I was driving other than it looked hawt and he wanted to get a closer look so he pulled in after me. He told me it was awesome that I was working w/ somethin unique and that he appreciated the fact I had more sense in me than to cover my car in flashy advertisements.

It actually made my day (I was already having a good day and it just made it even better) I've had friends and such say my car looks hawt and all but who knows if they are being nice or honest and I get looks alot but who knows really what those people are thinking. This was just a random guy with an understanding of the tuner scene that liked my car enough he went out of his way to compliment me. Its nice to know that there are cool ass people out there still.

This should be a sticky for anyone who doubts the Corolla. I got a wave from a dude in a modded Miata today, I see him every morning going in the opposite direction.

Yeah sorry, the thing is that w/ cardomain and my computer it takes like 20 minutes to upload pictures and all. One day a few months back I was going to update it so I deleted all the old pics off to put new ones up and it was just taking too long to put pics up. I'll take some new pics on thursday to put up on here if I can remember (its my one day off this week so I might get side tracked.) In the mean time here is an old post (few months old) of when I dropped the car. The only real major exterior difference is my new hood.

That is awesome, it's always nice to get a compliments on the Corolla's. However, I've had people say "That is an awesome Civic" more then a few times. I end up telling them it's a Corolla but I don't think they really care. I'm starting to think shaving the Corolla badge was not such a great idea :)

Lol wow I've never gotten called a civic...no offense to civics, but I'd get kinda annoyed if someone said that to me.

Haven't seen you around much lately barnacules....or maybe I just haven't been around much.

meh.... i've had people come up & offer me money for the ae92 several times.... one old guy (in his 70's) said something about him being surprised it was running because it was so quiet (long ago).....

though, if you want to hear about corolla compliments.... talk to ae86 guys.... most of the guys i know who own them constantly get asked if they want to sell the car....

I have not posted since shortly after my engine blew a few months back. A couple of forum members were making the forum a less then enjoyable experience after that so I decided to just take a break. The car is almost back on the road so I decided to come back and toss up a few posts and re-join the community.

Thanks, glad to be back. I was sad to see in the first 5 minutes of returning that sean2sean is ducking out of the Corolla scene and selling everything. He had one of the sickest Corolla's that ever cruised the streets :(
