    More Power?

Hey guys, I'm looking for some input here. I'm not liking what I'm getting from my stock engine and I'm wanted alot more. What do you think the best option is. I'm either looking to turbo or swap. But the money is a factor so I having to take everything one step at a time with my car. Also since it would be awhile for some heavy performace modfications, what would be a good idea to adding a lil power to it. I was thinking making a SRI or CAI?

    Thanks.

just stick with sri cause cai is really over rated. Its more of a hassle keeping it clean and watching out for it sucking water. I've had both sri and cai. Cai is better during the day all the time cause filter is outside the engine bay, but sri is better at night I think with cooler temps plus it gives a ram effect.

On the 1ZZ-FE though, go with a CAI, the SRI will just suck in hot air from the exhaust manifold because of the engines placements and space in the engine bay.

good luck. only CAI I know of for 8th gens is the ELP one, and it's out of production.

you'd have to find one used. they go for basically new price ~$180

turbo wise I'd root for the phoenix tuning kit :D

If you're going turbo or swap soon, dont' get the intake or header. Those are wasting $$$ since you can't use it after turboed/swapped.
I say work on the cat back and get a emanage for now. :)

Well what am I going to get the most power with a turbo or a swap.

I'm looking for a 200+ hp/tq and I'll be just happy with that.

What stuff am I looking at for the catback, got any sites or things I should look for?

I found a pretty cheap CAI but is this going to work good and is cheap not the way to go...

This CAI pop up once awhile in the forum. Everybody think it wouldn't fit if that pic is the actual item so nobody buy it yet. Maybe you can be the first one to buy it and try? :D

Turbo is your best bet. @ 6-7 psi you should be right @ 200hp if you're tuned right.

That sounds good, when I get money for it, I'll buy the CAI. If it doesn't fit oh well. :)
