Can't really buy it in liquid form - unless you are an authorized "repacker" or distributor. They sell it by weight instead of liquid volume(because if its nature). But you can probably be able to buy some cylinders filled with with gas over liquid (~750-800PSI @ 70deg F) - for about $50-$75 for 6-8 pounds of NO2. Automotive grade NO2 is usually mixed with hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor) to keep people from using it for non-automotive purposes. Medical grade stuff is usually mixed with O2 or O2 with air - since pure NO2 is lethal. I usually can get my 10lb bottle refilled for about $25-$35 (welding supply shop, speed shops sometimes charge as much as $100 for the same fill). Depending on how big of a shot you are running, a 10lb bottle will last about 6-8 runs down 1/4 track on a 50HP shot. Run a 100HP shot and get about half that. I'd guess-timate that you would get about 10sec of juice for every lb of nitrous you have.

As for my system - don't have one for the Corolla - but did run a nitrous system on my old '91 Honda CRX. Originally ran a 50HP shot on the original D15B6 8v engine (car was a CRX HF - gas saver, OEM HP was 62HP!!). Then swapped it for a B16A2 later (2nd gen USDM 16v VTEC for emissions) - ran a 100HP shot.

was that with stock clutch cause I'm running a stocker for now until I save enough for lightened flywheel to go with my exedy clutch. Is it better to have a purge kit for it also? I'm a newby with nitrous and I'm gonna do more research before I slap it on the car cause I can't afford another blown motor.

I didn't have a purge - when I put mine on, no funky effects that I could tell. Purge has benefits - it clears the delivery lines of air and vapor - that will guarantee immediate response from the nitrous system (supposed to give you a big "Hit" of power. Maybe hookedup96rolla has a better feel on this - for me, the price of the purge kit (when I bought my kit - purge components were sold separately, not sure what they do now) - would pay for a hell of a lot of refills. More for show - than go in my opinion.

Hah Hah :laugh1: - I was just going to change this morning after my meeting, when I noticed your post. I didn't even notice my typo right when I was typing it up. Pretty bad for someone that has advanced degrees in Polymer Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics. Thanks man :D.
