I'd still rather fire up my dad's PC for some good gaming. Only reason I keep the PS2 around...is if I really am that bored and need something to do.

Same rush of madness is going to happen again here in November when Sony breaks out the PS3.

Its just not fun to harass the retar...uh...less than privelaged walmart employee...about why they don't have 360s now that they do...lame.

If you're really wanting a 360, I'd wait till Gen 2 for three reasons:
1. All the bugs are fixed (freezing, problems with remote) there's actually not that many bugs as people think there are
2. they might include simple added features.
3. price drop

Anyone considering getting one, dont waste ur money on it....just wait til the PS3 comes out...all unbiased reviews have already claimed the PS3 will be the best system available once it becomes available to the public...here are some simple specs for ya...

XBOX 360 = Three Processors (dual threaded into six cores at 3.2 ghz), 20ghz bus, 1 teraflops of max computing power

PS3 = One Cell processor and 7 DSP processors (8 cores running at 3.2 ghz), 100 ghz bus, 2 teraflops of max computing power

^then again it hasn't come out yet, so no one knows. Sony hasn't impressed me with their quality and customer service (enter the infamous "Disc Read Error"). A while back, I had friends with original XBOX's (not 360s) that had a similar disc read problem. They called up and sent it to Microsoft, and got it back within two weeks for no charge. Sony on the other hand? They charge you to have it shipped to freakin Japan, and that's if you survive the customer service telephone ordeal.

Well as with any new piece of technology, you can expect that the PS3 will come with the usual growing pains....the Cell technology is new technology....the XBOX 360 is using traditional processors, which is good cuz they're sticking to what they're good at...and plus with Sony's Playstation 2, they refined it over and over...when they first released the PS2, it was big, slow, and had a special USB port aside from the normal USB port....the refined PS2 that we all kno of now is slim thin, considerable faster, and it eliminated that special USB port...id would think the same will happen to the PS3...but its all just referring back to what you said earlier about how they improve on their system...

...as for the customer service....I cant argue with you on that cuz thats true, lol....

I have to have halo so im glad I got my 360... plus I really havent had any problems with it.

Yea, as much as I dont really care for the XBOX systems, id really like to play the Halo game series cuz im really into that first person shoot type of game...but even to this day, ive never played it cuz my friends feel the same way about XBOX...and also the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion cuz that game looks like it could be one of the best RPGs yet...

ive had a premium 360 since day one and its awesome. never had any problems with it and anyone i know with one (over 15 people) has never had problems. its just that the few people who are having problems are making lots of noise.

As far as the ps3 i sure hope its going to be a better system, its got an extra year on the 360. its just like ps2 and xbox. i dnnt care what any ps2 lover wants to say the regular box was better then the ps2 no argument but then again it had an extra year in development so it should have been and everyone says that the 360 didnt make as much of a leap over the regular xbox as the ps3 will over the ps2.....well of course not the regular xbox was better then the ps2 so it didnt have as far to go. But i think the ps3 will be a great system when i comes out and at 500$ it better be darn good. I wont buy one the day it comes out but i still say it will be a good system, and yea probably better then the 360.

^^which is still unproven, haha... this whole blue ray vs HD DVD gives me a headache.
