nice man... stock tires always suck balls... i went to a corolla meet once... 2 xrs started racing... took a curve at the same speed... the guy with stock tires slipped out of control and did a 180... but the other guy with better tires took the corner smoothly... both cars are stock btw...

actually i test drove a Tc and a New XRS and neither really caught my eye .. granted the XRs was a fun car .. but just to big for my liking and they wanted a lil over 19k for it .. the Tc was nice as far as looks .. but was very sluggish ... for the claimed 160hp ...i will say my specs not the fastest thing on the road and i dont claim to be but this ***** will handle like a mofo and is very very torque kind of a downside cause Tq steers a ***** ... im planning on using it for autox more than i will a drag car ... but i cant complain .. sticker price on my was 21.5K after 3 hours of ups and downs i drove off the lot Top Of the Line 2006 Sentra only 14miles on it .. for 15.4K another good thing is Nismo is very supportive of this car because it has been one of the JGT4 cars the past 3 years, so they make everything from wheels-lip kits - cams- short shifter- knobs - springs - headers - intakes - exhaust - pulleys - upgraded motor mounts ( to help with that tq steer) nismo even has a baseline setting for a Apexi SafcII which is one of the next mods on my list .. after i free up that extra Hp/Tq in the restricted stock exhaust system .( Tanabe Medalion Concept Full catback)

good choice, man! i'm sure you will love yours just as much as i love mine. and yea, the amount of nismo parts that are available is insane. i didn't know they made pulleys too, though? that's awesome. good luck! :thumb:

nah just keep brembos in the front. how wide are your 18's? only track smaller wheels if you want to keep those nice times!

im trying to get ahold of a set of 15" Rota slips dont care what color dont car what exterior shape there in , im just gonna paint em flat black anyway ... for Track use only .. which my friend said hed let me have his for $275 but i think i can get a better deal than that .. hell i can get some Mugen RnR's for a lil over 300 beat up but still useful ..

and the rays are 18x7.5 42mm/offset

^ Exactly what I was thinking. How are you fitting the Rota's over those brakes?

How modded was your Corolla when you traded it in? How much did the dealer offer you for it?

Just curious. I was just rear ended in my Rolla and the thought of selling it/buying a 240SX is in the back of my mind.

thats the fun part .. lol...not only do i have to get the rotas ..i also have to get a new brake assembly which are easy to come by on the SpecV boards cause someones always upgrading to Brembos' or wilwood brakes .. the night i tracked it for the first time we actually swapped the brakes (he has an 03 Se-R ) ' 2 hours before we rolled out ..its kind of a downside to have the big brake kit .. but i look at it like this .. its so much easier to swap brakes and buy a cheap set of lightweight rotas .. than it is to buy a set of leightweight wheels that will actually fit over the brembos .. which from my understanding on the Vboard is very few - Ie'- GramLight 57'c's and even then they have to be 17's to fit .. so all in all it actaully comes out better ...

as far as trade in value for the corolla the guy at the nissan place gave me $3500 for it
    Mods were as followed
    96 base - auto - 180k miles - no power windows/doors ect....
    17" konig Holes new/ tires
    Front lip
    JDM headlights /Grill
    tein springs
    TRD strut bar
    KYB struts
    Full exhaust
    Intake
    Header
but my car was pretty much mint .. other than the miles im sure anyone on the board that had ever seen it in person would say theres no way it was 96 w/ 180k miles .. even the guy at the dealer said thats really one of the cleanest model corollas he'd seen , i traded it in on a monday ... by saturday night i passed it and i was told from some one in the area it sold for a lil over 3600 from a used car lot here in town ..had i known they were gonna have it on a lot that quick i would of tried to talk my rents into scooping it up for my sis ...but o well
