I was out with my car club tonite and we all decided to hit up Hooters for dinner, just something fun to do. We'll we get like half way there and some one needs gas so we all pull into this gas station. As we are all pulling in (15-20 of our cars) a state trooper was getting gas and "pulled" one of us over (he actually pointed and started yelling at this kid in a SE-r) We are all like WTF is going on, well the trooper is going to give him a ticket for his "illegal" greddy exhaust (WE LIVE IN FLORIDA). So while he is talking to the kid two more troopers proceed to pull up and all just stare at us so we are like crap we are gonna leave before this gets bad for everyone. So the remainder of us (keep in mind its over 15 cars) leave all at the same time. Well, I get about a mile down the road and the kid calls me to say "Dude, when you guys left, the cop was walkin up to my window with the ticket and just turned around...yelled to the other cops 'forget this kid lets get them' and took off after yall" So long story short the kid never got a ticket out of the situation because the cops wanted to chase us instead (they never caught up).


Kind of a stupid story, but I've been laughin about it since the kid told me he got off w/ no ticket.

Shows how bored/jealous those cops must be.

Yeah, the funny thing was they didn't tag the Cobra, STIs, EVOs...they get the SE-r.

Does his Greddy exhaust have CARB Exemption stickers? If so (and I doubt it was louder than any dB rating they'd have), I would have taken the ticket, and made a big fuss in court about profiling...

My mother was pulled over in the rolla in FL...I had the exhaust on it for years (was ticketed for something else once - officer made no mention of it)..he stated illegal exhaust. However, some kid drove by with a loud stereo..the officer started yelling at him and took off.

Seems to be a pattern with officers that pull people over for mufflers..lol..

Don't know 100% about his CARB stickers, but I know he's a big freak out about everything being 50 state legal so I'd imagin he had the stickers somewhere in his car.

Cops also have to worry about getting shot every day. Maybe that's why they're jealous.

Yeah, no, we figured that one or two of them would have come out after us, but all three left him. We actually weren't driving ridiculous when we left because we expected that they would come after us...I imagin that they got stuck at a light or something.
