I'm disappointed. This was a totally unfair game with those officials. I can easily see the stealers are faster and stronger than the hawks and most likely would have win.. but not by this huge margin. the score should have been 17-21 or if the hawks got lucky 21-21 and overtime

Anyway, Mike Holmgren already got his SB ring w/ GB in '97.
It's time for Bill Cowher to get his this year.
Some might say, @#%^* but it's over, Johnnie.

The Steeler's close touchdown was almost too close to call..but there were two calls that would've resulted in 12 points (definitely 6, probably 12+) for the Seahawks, leaving the game at 22-21..if not 24-21.

I LOVE THE STEELERS. but yeah Big Ben wasn't even close to gettin' in. And the pass interference on Jackson was iffy, only b/c he had an outstretched arm they called it.

the touchdown for the seahawks being throw out the cameras clearly showed that was a good call...

as for the 2nd qtr steeler touchdown... the rule is as long as ANY of the football gets to that wide white line its a touchdown... so while in the air he barely got it to the line but he did infact....

ugh no, ball was over the line in air, and pushed back to the 1 by the time it hit the ground. if you could call TD's based on air then the seahawks would get another TD too lol

yes it was pushed back but td's are valid if the ball goes past the line any part of it thats why it was a touchdown cuz it was over the line in the air!

Pass interference? On someone who wasn't even close enough to catch the ball? I dunno about that.

actually the pass interference again was technically called correctly according to their rules...

however I have got to say that was sort of a cheap call I mean... he barely touched him.... but its still a valid call... however I do disagree with that one! That one I dont know I disliked that call..

and which seahawks touchdown are you talking about the one where he was out of bounds in like the 1st quarter?

yeah but according to you the all that has to happen is that the ball has to cross the goal like to count... on the play that you are reffering to is the ball yes did cross the goal line but was bounced back caught and landed at the one yard line... it was never in the possesiton of the recever crossed or even on the white goal line...

Just to play devil's advocate. Even if that TD was negated w/ the review and they missed a FG. They still would have won 14-10.

That was blatant pass interference...he pushed off!

    Yeah, that one was close

I dont agree....Seahawks couldnt score! Two missed field goals??? And their time management at the end of BOTH halves was hideous!! They played like shit, and flat out got OUTPLAYED.

Sorry, but ya dont know your NFL rules....if he outstretched his hands, had the ball three feet over the line in midair, and was pulled back, thats a touchdown. Doesnt matter where you physically land....ball has to break the line plane, and its a TD

He only had one foot in bounds..

I didn't know you could call pass interference against someone who wasn't even in position to catch the ball..but hey - I'm not a huge NFL fan..so I'm not supposed to know these things.

IT WAS OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE....he pushed off the defensive player. It was a great call. One of the easiest, and most blatant aspects of offensive pass interference.

I'm not arguing with you, but I still don't understand how it could be pass interference when the guy had no hope of reaching the ball anyway. Can you explain to a non-football-geek :)p) how the interference calls work?

Actions that constitute offensive pass interference include but are not limited to:

    (a) Blocking downfield by an offensive player prior to the ball being touched.

    (b) Initiating contact with a defender by shoving or pushing off thus creating a separation in an attempt to catch a pass.

    (c) Driving through a defender who has established a position on the field.

Defensive player doesnt have to be in a position to intercept it

And for the people that dont know what constitutes an NFL touchdown:

Touchdown: When any part of the ball, legally in possession of a player inbounds, breaks the plane of the opponent's goal line, provided it is not a touchback.

well liek i said it was a correct call.... i dont know how much he actually pushed off but then again I wasnt on the field... it looked to me liek he barely touched him but who knows.... he might have really pushed him....

I thought it wa sthat td (seahawks) that didnt count that you were all complaining about but he was out of bounds clearly and thats why it didnt count.... he had to stay in bounds... it was throw too far out!

The seahawks played well the first quarter then lost it!

The refs called a fair game... people always complain about the refs but its a hard job and they are the ones on the field calling unbiased calls... the steelers had a decent amount of penalties on them as well....

Either way the seahawks got outplayed and lost.... always next year

Yeah, i think the only really bad call was the Hasselback tackle after the interception. If youre going for a tackle, its a legal hit. If it was a block, THATS illegal.

And the seahawks just didnt have it last night....bad clock management and play calling, and they let the steelers break TWO superbowl records last night, in addition to allowing Randell El to throw a TD pass, haha.

Maybe if Stevens caught the ball when it was thrown to him, and the kicker could kick it through the posts, it wouldve given the hawks the spark they needed.

I thought most of the calls were bullshit.:p I feel as though we could have won that game. Unfortunetly, I also say that those were NOT the Seahawks that I watched all season long. We had a bad game and sadly, it had to be in the SuperBowl in front of millions of viewers, which means we STILL wont get the respect we deserve. We had control of that game, just didnt execute things right and its the only game Ive seen this season were it looked like we went to our old coaching techniques:( . Ive heard people say football is no longer football and this is the first game were I felt the same. Mark my words though, this isnt the last you have seen of the SEAHAWKS! This team is built to make it, and we will.
