    Tough love....

Man I just can't get my car back into the perfect shape it used to be. I'm running into problems here and there and having to pay 250 to fix my sunroof's control module and now this. I found my car at the parking lot at school in this condition after I got out class. I was very pissed off and still do not know who did it.

Wow that sucks dude. Best advice I can give you is to file a police report for a hit an run and see if your insurance will cover it.

sounds like the best way to go... didn't damage the kit too bad (from what I can see) so that part of it shouldent be a problem :(

I don't think insurance is gonna take care of this one cause its not full coverage right now. I've been really tight on money. It will be a while to fix, but my girl offered to take care of fixing it in return for all the things I do for her so its not so bad. I was worried at first cause I fixed my front bumper like a day before it happened. I had like two big cracks that I fixed so that's why the bumper looks primered in some areas.

yeah that's a horrible place to be hit, you'll most likely have to replace the body panel to make it look right again :(

How can people be that ignorant? If I hit someones car I would feel too bad to leave or not leave a note, especially if I caused that much damage.

On the other hand, you might be able to take this opportunity to get the Z3 style panels. I Imagine they would be lighter than stock, and to be honest.... I think they look kinda cool. It might wind up costing as much to have the stock replaced and painted. Something to look into.

This is why we have the option of INSURANCE!!!!

Its absolutely ridiculous to say "well, money was tight, and I didnt go for the full insurance coverage", especially when you somehow have the money to mod out your car.

no z3 fenders for me at all. I'm gonna replace it back to what it used to be cause if I had fiberglass fenders and I can bend it out a bit for wheel clearance then it would be a problem. Man I got so much plans for my car right now its sad cause I have to fix it first before I get the goods for it. My to fix list currently is: new tires, fix sunroof, fix fender and corner light, get new amp cause mine fried, and get new wheel hub including new brakes. Man I'm kinda wishing I got that IS300 a while back even though it was totalled twice.

That happened to me when I was in the library studying late one night. It really sucks when people hit you and don't leave a note or anything.

This whole situation happened to my room mate no more than a month ago. He was parked and when we came down from our apt some jacked up truck had run over his bumper. He called his third rate insurance company and they told him to get a police report (you don't have to have any one to turn in--just so its on record) and then file it back w/ the insurance.

I don't know what insurance company you use, but if his bum f*cked insurance company will do that than you shouldn't have a problem.

(He also doesn't have full coverage)

So I mean its worth a shot so it won't be all out of pocket.

well I put a rough estimate on the damage and since I'm doing all the work and my job can paint it, I'm probably paying less then 200 bucks.

I feel ya bro (unlike some folks)...when money is tight all you can do is plan, no action.

Once I get my lil project running, and after I get a modest body kit on it one of the first things I'll do is prolly go full coverage, just in case.

Some things you never see coming, and I'm sure some jackass will prolly hit my car the day before I get ins. on it...always happens like that.
