LOL, mine has been out for almost a year now, never really bothered me. I would like to know how to replace it though.

ive read it on one of these forums, not sure if its this, or vvti.net or toyrolla.com, but i read someone fixed it, can't find where, its jsut annoying really.... if i can find out how to replace it, im' gonna replace it wit a orange light just like my console is now since i got the new guage cluster, the cluster, my deck are both the exact same color now, now i want the temp contorls and the tranny light to match it....

if it were me i would take that section apart ( two bolts on the armrest compartment plus two screws on each side where the two pieces meet where the shifter is). Then i would cut off the light that's there and wire in a L.E.D. Shouldn't be too difficult. As for replacement of the bulb thats there, i'm not quite sure its a standard size. (and i think the thread you're talking about was on vvti.net)

if i'm not mistaken, the light is an LED. I remember taking my center console apart one day in my old rolla and saw it. Never messed with it cause I couldn't get my fingers in there to get the LED out.

Worse comes to Worst, ur gonna have to carry a flashlight with you ..lol. j/k
